How long do you normally register domains for?
1 year? 2 years? Do you lock in for the long term or play it by ear (yearly)?

Depends on the domain. Some domains I use and I am sure I want to keep I'll do for years at a time. Others just yearly.

If it is a money making domain, 10 years. If it is just something that does not much, 1 year.
