Tazbo, yeah have a look at that tackle and let me know. I would really appreciate it :-)
I live about 112 miles North West of Sebastian. I used to fish on their jetty bridge before I got a boat....but they were closed last year [jetty] for repairs due to past h'cane damage. Never took the boat out there. I think Snook season is closed now thats it May. |

Tazbo,
Are you in Sarasota? We're looking to buy a beach condo there soon. If you dont mind, I may need to get up with you if you know the area well. We were looking for a place from St. Pete down to Venice. Thanks! |
Good stuff !
Anyone have a offshore boat in so cali? We should do a little charter trip for webmasters |
I have a boat rigged for great lakes salmon fishing.
I also used to live on a river with a rocky bottom that was full of smallmouth bass. I'd go out in the backyard almost every evening in the summer for a couple hours and catch a dozen or two. I think the smallmouth are more fun than the salmon because they are a dusk fish while the salmon is a dawn fish. I am a dusk person. The salmon can't be beat for eating, though. Those anti-fishing animal rights fools need to be fish hooked. |
Think I am going to go in Aug.

Yes I know the area well. I gre up in St. Pete but I have lived in Sarasota, Bradenton, and Venice. It depends on what you are looking to spend as to what beach you could live on. There are high dollar places such as Longboat Key but you can find really affordable in places like Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, and I think Siesta Key. But Venice is actually cheaper than most because it's not a big city. |

Thats so true about the pier culture. Some of those people practically live there. When I was a kid I was a pier rat. I knew everybody there. Yea, when you catch a monster at the pier like you did the word gets around for quite awile that your the MAN and your treated with respect. Oh the good ole days. Spending the summer on the pier without a worry in the world. |
I learned a lot about fishing at other areas than mine from this thread...
thanx........................... |
