I have seen models using floating overlays which blocks the view and forces people to register trough their affiliate link. It's unbelievable howmuch freedom they give to models.

And some models have that warning "do not use my images and photo's!! illegal!!!!" While they have copyright infringing images on their bio page themselves lol.

It looks like somebody already reported that link and the link has been terminated for spam violation, Or the fact that the link redirects to chaturbate caused the link to be terminated. Plus chaturbate makes them wait 20 seconds before the redirect.

So, I don't think you lost anything.

Well the thing is they shouldn't be allowed to do that in the first place imo. I can see on some pages they have floating images which go over part of the paid banner ads. People could miss click the images and the advertiser has to pay for a click that wasn't intentional in the first place.

It's not our problem. If affiliates set their cookie, then models can no longer overwrite it until the cookie expires. If visitors signup via a button on such an overlay screen, then the income go to the affiliates.

I also saw overlay screens that lead to external sites with third party cpa offers.

I've always wondered why this cb spammer is allowed to roam free on their site. He covers the entire cam page with an image that gives the illusion it's from Chaturbate promising free tokens and links to dating affiliate link. He's been doing this for the last couple of years using 100's of different cb profiles. Once you're on the cam page, you can no longer click any of the CB navigation because the image covers it all. You either have to click the image or use the back button on your browser. The image below being broadcast, links to this link DirtyTinder

A few posts exist regarding this already, models adding buttons to their room page, but the good news is that Chaturbate have already confirmed that it's the first cookie that is credited with signups/sales, therefore if you send traffic, regardless of whether they signup via one of the models links, you get credited. Look at this in a positive way, say the models does entice more signups than would via the standard Chaturbate design/links/buttons, then you're getting more signups & sales courtesy of the model doing this.

I remember that. Some of those pages took forever to load. I remember kids starting businesses customizing myspace pages. I believe that was a factor in facebook taking over.

He said it was a phishing scheme of some sort where the hacker tries to convince the model that their profile has been cloned and directs them to a suspicious site to try and steal their creds.

I would post the additional emails that Steve sent me but I would have to edit out some other parts of the conversations and I am not in the mood to waste my time on it. So what I posted above is the jist of it.

Ah ok, now that clears a lot up. I could never figure out how the spammer I was referring to earlier, would be spamming on what appeared to be longstanding legit model accounts, often late at night.

I thought for the longest time that the model must be in cahoots with the spammer, but didn't understand why she would risk losing her account. He must have phished a lot of model accounts to gain access and then spammed with their accounts when he knew they wouldn't be broadcasting. The domains he spammed with always led back to Russia and he rotated affiliate offers frequently.
