    Gov is the biggest spammer.....!

    I recently applied for and received a seller's permit form the california state board of equalization and on the application there was a slot for my e-mail address. I never give out my isp address. But since this was something rather important I figured it would be better if I gave them my "important" e-mail address.

    Since then, (it's been a week now) I've been spammed with 15-20 fuckin emails a fuckin day ranging from get debt consolidation to 'Wanna make ALOT of money?'!

    What the fuck?

      When i originally downloaded realplayer the first time, i gave them my e-mail address realplayerspam@"one of my domains".com
      the mp3 site got mp3spam@"one of my domains".com it's kinda funny how much crap you can get from sites who say they do not distribute e-mail addresses.

      I'v started calling 800 numbers on the spam I get, don't even try the return e-mail anymore. The one problem is that I get tons of crap from US companies and a lot of their 800 phone numbers do not work up here.

              E-mail spam doesn't bother me as much as phone solicitation. I have one company that calls every day at 9:30 a.m. when I'm trying to sleep. The credit card companies call 3 times a day trying to sell me "protection" plans. I wish some one would outlaw telemarketing. I usually let the machine pick up most calls.

                  Yes E-mail spam dont bother me that much.
                  I just delete them without reading

                      Sorry guys, didn't mean to sound so irritated. I guess it could really be as simple as what Rose said. But if you got a dial-up, it can take quite a while loadin' all that crap just to get my personal mail. Some of the spam are actually 'full on' HTML pages with 10-15K of info.
