Why the North Korea summit is going off the rails, explained by an expert

most of what's going on we don't know.Right? I mean - does it seem logical that they are not acting in good faith? Reasonable that we would pull out of this because of some bellicose language? And that we respond to their language with "Our nukes are bigger than your nukes...?"
I don't know the answer - my super secret private websites where all the real information is hidden away from prying eyes and nobody else can look (also known as - government and justice department websites) are not expounding on the national security strategy of the United States - in public.
I can only wonder and ask questions. North Korea has done nothing different and is showing good faith, despite allegedly aggressive language. Is that enough, with all the good faith shown to cancel an important summit? To people that hate Trump, they will see it as confirmation of things they believe. To me, it is not a logical move - so I wonder what else is going on that we don't know.
That's why I think threads like this have value, the intent is to take a serious unbiased view and discuss it. The op article provided a pragmatic view of the timeline of events.
One thing we do know now- the summit is postponed indefinitely.
correction: trump says summit is canceled.Comment

once you take away the ability of small countries to fight your invaders conventionally, the small countries will seek another way to keep your gangsters away...USIS has simply invested too much money in invasion apparatus and research for other smaller countries to keep up...also USIS is too dependent on war profits to ever quit invading...so the only logical solution is nukes or bacteria...
you can now go back to playing dumb to what your country does, this changes nothing...sooner or later 1 country will make the bacteria/nukes and start selling...I hope this day comes as soon as possible

I wasn't offended. And I don't think I have any "credibility" with any of the faceless nickname people on GFY anyway.
Again...couldn't care less.
By the way, I re-read what I wrote earlier and you are right. It did come across like I was insulting you.
I didn't mean that at all. Sorry about that. The written word doesn't always convey meaning correctly. No offense was meant.-Robbie

Also, in the event of some kind of an attack the first thing they would do would be to strike out at their command and control facilities and their missiles.
They shouldn't kid themselves here. It takes them days to launch a test missile. It would be taken out long before it could launch.Herschel Savage

I'm not here to argue at all, if i disagree on something I try to phrase it unoffensively. I do come across confident in my opinion, maybe too much so. I'm certainly not emotional about trump but there's a lot going on around him that I am interested in. I had high hopes for this deal, it wasn't about being right or wrong on GFY for me.Comment

Once you get used to the roller coaster the show gets pretty good. A lot of times you have that excitement build up as the coaster ratchets it's way to the top - click click click - and then you crest - and your hands go up in the air - WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! This is one of those times.

except for the nuke part eh. although I'm not hitting the panic button yet on that. I'm pretty confident USA will never ever launch the first nuke again, and Un isn't going to do anything like that either. cooler heads prevail.

Robbie, I've done the same with my posts here and see I came across offensively at times, I apologize. We're both Americans and want the same things in general.I wasn't offended. And I don't think I have any "credibility" with any of the faceless nickname people on GFY anyway.

I was worried for a minute that you might "Trump" me and walk away from the table.I appreciate that. Let's just call it a miscommunication and move on.

I should have re-read what I wrote and saw how cold it came across before I hit "submit"-Robbie

Well, sometimes the coaster flies off the tracks...
Still, even that is more likely than a nuclear attack so I'm not afraid to get on the ride.

I read the art of the deal years ago, I remember a blurb in it about how trump talked about how he liked to get the guy across the table so riled up the sweat circles under his arms would touch.Comment

yes, adequate missile technology is still out of reach for weak and poor countries...this is why bacteria is better...all it takes is 1 sleeper agent with 1 vial in 1 random country...keeping up with USIS with conventional weapons is futile, invasions are becoming normal and sovereignty is just a meaningless word...unconventional warfare is the way to go...No one has attacked North Korea in the past fifty years, so... They are pretty safe.

we live in the age of the internet and information can be passed on in seconds...freedom for small countries will come in a vial or in a missile or some other way...it is just a matter of time...I do not believe there will be much future for mankind but at least the small get to die standing on their feet because the strong would not leave them alone...

invader, I am sure you want to feel safe and keep invading but the rest of the world is not obligated to put up with your invader bullshit...I know this confuses your invader brain...you must be like "what?!?!?!? some country does not want to be invaded by USIS?!?!?!?!? WHY????? WHYYYYYYYYY?????"

look invader, its not up to me...USIS will not stop invading until somebody stops them...it will not be americans who do it because they give exactly 0 fucks...with your drone/robot bullshit coming there will be 0 chance to fight your invaders so what is left is what I wrote...nukes/bacteria/other nasty shit...
did you really think you would get to USIS the world for ever without any consequences? escalation is a bitch and you guys practically got down on your knees and begged for it

So today North Korea answered to Pres. Trump's canceling the summit.
North Korea's foreign ministry said this:
"We reiterate to the US that we are willing to sit face to face at any time and in any way, I would like to conclude that President Trump's statement on the North Korea-US summit is a decision that is not in line with the wishes of the who hope for the peace and stability of the Korean peninsula as well as the world."
