whats going better on paysites?

exclusive content like cumfiesta etc ... or package content..

i'd prefer exclusive content because i've checked a lot of paysites and on the mosts are the same . holio, hustlercontent etc on every site ;)

but what do you think ? is it possible to hold members for a long time with such package stuff?

i'm making my best sales results with sites with exclusive content. high reccurring payouts ;)

and please excuse my bad english ;) i'm from germany

well i dont have any member sites but what i can tell you is that every since last year our content sales have dropped and our orders for custom shoots have been our main business!

100% exclusive - No other way.

We concentrate on just two sites now but we have a HUGE number of members and they stick around for month after month after month after month. We have been doing this for years and while everyone else bitches about falling sales and poor retention our takings go up month after month too. Last month was our best ever and May will be even better than that.

Give them what they want and make sure that they can only see it on your own sites. Its not really rocket science is it?

Don't excuse yourself your doing great in english.. I am french and at least we are trying...

I beleive and was told exclusive content is preferable. If your a photographer its even better....take your own pics.. But the pain in the ass to crop, edite then add copyrights etc.. with photoshop or else but you know they are yours and exclisive big time. On my web site I am the content... I have 4 photographers and I do pics myself of others (friends) But fuck do I hate the editing!!!! alot of time consumming but but but you know were the pics are from...
Some webmaster prefer buying content and if they do after experiences they know the good stuff and the bad ( what sells or not) quality vs bad pics.... come wit experience I guess...

people have been saying it for years that eventually surfers will get wise and will start rejecting cookie cutter sites filled with the same content they've seen on 3,000 other sites - and it seems to be happening - lots and lots of inquiries and orders for exclusive content these days.

Plugins and standard content is no better than an AVS with thousands of duplicated sites.

We have 6 pay sites and the ones that keep increasing every month are the ones with exclusive content. Luckily my partner is a professional photographer and has been doing this for over 30 years now. Our only cost is the model.

Exclusive is the way to go. And we do exclusive shoots for a number of pay sites already and each one of them makes good money.

do you think that my members really care that the content is on other sites? if they like that content then it dont matter, its all about how it is presented.

this works for me as my content costs are very low compared to exclusive

yeah i know that there are many successful independent sites that do well with licensed content - but they usually are works of love for those webmasters, they give them alot of attention - like you say, the presentation - it gives the customer the feeling that it is an exclusive site.

and there are always smaller licensed content providers where u can buy content that isn't over exposed, almost like having your own exclusive content.

If you want to really rock you need exclusive content.

However a combination of exclusive and non-exclusive definately allows you to bulk out your members area and maximize your retention.

That works well but if you are going to do that I would recommend getting a 2nd domain and then put your bulk content in there and then allow members access to both sites. This works far better as it gives the best of both worlds.

Personally I take my hat off to anyone that?s making money now out of cookie cutter sites and non-exclusive content as they are definitely doing it the hard way.

If exclusive was the way to go and these guys were making a ton of money they could afford to pay for exclusive. However most of them cringe at $150 a set. Go figure 4-5 members for month for a set for a lifetime.

The key is quality, put together a site with love, care and knowledge then you have a chance. Non-exclusive or exclusive. Cookie cutters will not work as well, because they are thrown together with little individualism.

The "me too" approach is usually doomed. The guy who gets in there first with a new idea almost always has a great competitive edge, and even if others come in, the slices of the pie just get smaller and smaller with each additional rip-off.

Do your own thing your own way and do it well and you'll slowly build up a loyal membership base. You can't please everybody, but if you can please a few each week so much they want to remain members indefinitely, you've got a good thing going.

While I think exclusive content works best overall, not everyone can pull that off. I believe the person with a clear idea that's a little different from what others are doing, who identifies a niche and understands it, then serves it well...he., too, can make a living in this business.

ok hustlercontent rocks ;) i really love those movies ...

but i like SGS's Idea. thats what i see on many pages. slippting 2 pages into one good and one "ok" site and give the members access to both ;)

We will see what the future holds but we are confident and we will not be going away from 100% exclusive content at any point.

Especially with more and more content producers having desperate blow-out sales all over the place so that even more sites have the same content inside.
