Will Trump last the rest of the year? Or...

I'm prepared for 7 more years, just in case. We all should be. emergency evac plans and all.

I find it hard to believe he would just "quit" . That's just not his style. However, one can only take so much abuse. He is taking hit after hit after hit, every day, and no matter what he just can't get in a single good day. It's got to wear on him.

At the same time, I think the press is beating up on him. On my Microsoft Surface I use a news app and I've noticed most articles drop after a day, but some articles can stay for weeks... Always bad ones about Trump.

Whatever, I don't really care at this point. I'm stunned he won, and stunned he is still in office. I would be surprised if he makes it through his four year term.

Why would he quit?

I can only see a couple of ways in which he might quit.

One would be if either the Mueller investigation or the Stormy Daniels situation ends up with him in serious trouble he might step down to avoid impeachment.

I could also see the Democrats taking back the house and maybe Senate in November and they then put the full court press on him and all of this drags out for another couple of years then Trump announces that he has saved the country and decides not to run for a second term.

Basically, yes. If he were charged with a crime he could, potentially, still be tried for it, but if he steps down there wouldn't be an impeachment. Nixon did just that. There had been articles of impeachment drawn up against Nixon then he stepped down to avoid having to face them (he knew he couldn't win while, in Bill Clinton's case, he chose to stay and fight).
