    chargeback after 8 months??

    Is it possible to issue a chargeback after 8 months?

    One of my sponsors today:

    Oct 24th, 2017 12:46 AM Initial €62.27
    May 12th, 2018 09:33 AM Chargeback €-62.27

    Again a sponsor screwing affiliates?

      I've gotten one after 6 months before... supposedly the limit is 4.

                                      There should be limits for a regular credit card purchase but if the program would use Epoch for example there's so many different payment options integrated in it that you need to know which one exactly was used for that particular purchase.

                                      Direct debit or some local payment options can allow that and I've experienced a charge-back of 12 k that went more than 6 m back.

                                                  Meaning their kid uses it without telling them and they are responsible. But thats not how it happens.

                                                      absolutely true, although, i´d suggest, half of the chargebacks are legit from the owner, but possibly stolen cards, especially Russians, to claim the affiliate sale or especially on cams, it´s done with the cam model. 50/50 payments & then 6 months later, the chargeback´s made.                                                           Your sponsor could have lied and taken your money saying it was a charge back. Anything is possible these days. No idea who your biller is, if they're with NATS or who your sponsor is so no way to tell.

                                                              It's also possible they instituted the chargeback before the 6 month window, assuming it's a hard window (which I doubt because banks will let customers chargeback very easily) and by the time everything was done with the required paperwork, the 6 month window had passed but they had already submitted.

If I pay Bill A this month, then let Bill B slide for two months...then I can chargeback Bill C and have enough to pay both bills! Shit like that.

                                                                                  The worst I saw was a CB and refund at ccbill. Happened to my paysites twice years ago. so not only did they get their money back but they took money from me. CCBill says it happens but it's rare and wouldn't do anything about it.
