the current problem in India is a very nationalist hindu government that gives the hindu majority a feeling of superiority over minorities. And I count women in general as a minority in India - not by numbers but by societal status.

If it continues to grow, then the US will be having the same issue as it did with China. India is challenging China for the biggest growing world economy. Yeah they do have their shit to sort out, but so does China…

I think as westerners we would have learnt by now, that pointing the finger or occupy a country and enforce our values on them, only get young men and woman killed.
