What is an 'established' webmaster?

What makes one webmaster more 'established' than another? Is it the amount of money they make? Is it how much traffic they control? Is it their shoe size? Is it the number of times they have listened to Beethoven concerts butt naked in Vienna?

I'm just curious. I'm also a pain in the ass, as some people already know, but that's not important.

I think an established webmaster is an
experienced webmaster with knowledge and
experience.

I like Hendrix's music. Especially the live recordings I've heard. There's one I found recently of him playing for nearly 20 minutes straight with BB King. Awesome. Simply awesome.

OK, Fly, I agree with you.... but I think I can go one better:

1) My gf doesn't care that I work with nudie pics most of the day
2) She helps with some of the work from time-to-time
3) She works as a model in a local lingerie shop

I forgot something very important that should be the starting point for determining whether or not someone is an establihed webmaster or not:

Domain ownership. If the person does not at least own ONE domain that they actively work with and promote, are they really serious about this business or are they just using free hosts to make a quick buck?

You need to keep in mind there are thousands of webmasters who don't showup at webmaster events or post on msg boards.

Or you have someone with a 300,000K traffic TGP and everyone knows them, but what about the person who runs
7-8 TGPS that average 40K each...Same traffic, same income probably but the guy with the 1-large TGP is noticed, the other isn't.

I think an established webmasters is someone who knows the business and is making a living off their website(s).
I don't think its about being popular or well known.

I think establishblished means not having to put the suit and tie on to go to work everyday.

Saying honey it's time for the photo shoot and not worrying what the old lady will say about it.

Talking to 18 and 19 year old girls all day about their fantasies and discussing the best way to put that on film while your wife is giving advice rather than brow beating you to death.

Being able to plan trips and vacations and not worrying if the money will be there to do it.

Finishing each week knowing all your bills are paid and knowing next week will yeild the same results.

Being able to wake up in the morning and not have that "oh god I have to go to work" doom and gloom hanging over your head.

Am I established ? I like to think so. Not as established as I'd like to be. But enough people know me and trust me in this business that they know to call me in a pinch and vice versa.
