I got "let go" because I was running a porn site. My first real site was one where amateurs could submit their own pictures. I would get 3-5 submissions a week and put them up on the site. One day my boss called me into his office and asked if I was running an adult site. I didn't lie and told him I was. It turned out my boss had gone on a business trip to Miami and ended up at a topless beach where he took a bunch of pics of topless babes in bikinis and sent them to my site not knowing that I ran it. The email he sent me bounced and when he looked in the header he saw my real email address in it (I was forwarding to it) then did a whois and found out it was me.
We had an interesting discussion about how the owners would feel about me running a porn site. I suggested maybe they wouldn't be as angry as they might be if they found out he was spending company money to visit topless beaches then submitting pics taken on said business trip to a porn site.
At this point I was making enough with my sites I didn't care about this job so we came to an agreement. I agreed to be "let go" and the company would give me health insurance for the next year. About six months later the company found out about all this (I'm not sure how). They fired him and canceled my insurance.Comment

I think I've got you all beat, started in porn in UK in 1968 way before Chump invented the internet. Then in 1994 i started my first UK website which has long since gone. I probably pre date Markham ? Still do 3-4 shoots a month, way less than when i lived in San Diego.
I even remember going to visit Bob Rice in his Ynot headquarters when San Diego was the center for online porn companies.

I was around when the Internet exploded, but too young to do anything porn related. Parents were right up my ass with what I was doing online. Yep, even got kicked out of my house for it. Glad I did. These last two years finally paid off.
