Currently reading Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King and also working my way through the book of short stories called Mr. Bones by Paul Theroux. Both are very good. Prior to that, I read a book called Redeployment which was a collection of non-fiction essays/stories about the experiences of a Marine who fought in Iraq. It's fantastic.
One book I'd certainly recommend in this insanely partisan climate is "The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion" by Jonathan Haidt https://www.amazon.com/Righteous-Min...dp/B0076O2VMI/
