    Anyone buy 'The Last Jedi' blu-ray ??

    Think it had a USA release yesterday. Got a couple of weeks before it comes out to buy here though. Although I slated the film to fuck, I know I will still buy it like I always do, but i'm more interested in the 14 deleted scenes which they've added. Apparently it's the full scenes and not just snippets of film that never made it.

    Going by the couple i've seen so far it seems crazy they were left out, considering the amount of shit that did make the final cut.

      i havent seen it yet, then again i never got into star wars. I tried a couple of times, but it's just not for me. It's mildly entertaining at best. But at least it's still about a 1000 times better than any shitty superhero movie.

          Yup it's not for everyone which is why I never try and urge or convince people to watch it and give it a go. I grew up with Star Wars so i always follow with interest. But yeah for me they fucked this one up. And left J.J. with a mess to sort out for the next episode.

                  do people buy blu rays anymore? I think I purchased only one in the last 4 or 5 years, everything is streaming now

                      There's still certain things i like to actually own a hard copy of. Like a few CD's and shit. But yeah blu-ray sales etc must be well down by now...

                          Funny thing... I saw it mentioned on Facebook the other day, so I went to Ebay.

                          Yeah, I know, I still buy DVDs. (I have Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix, but sometimes I like having it on DVD.)

                          Anyhows, I bought it on Ebay for $11. I happened to go to Target last night and it's "on sale" for $27. LOL.

                              Do a search on YouTube and you will find thousands of videos on how much people HATE The Last Jedi.

                              I will not rant here but I will say it's not surprising given Rian Johnson is a Millenial. Style over substance and nothing makes sense. Great. LOL

                              I hope the deleted scenes help make the movie more understandable but I highly doubt it.

                                      Out of nine Star Wars movies, only three were good. I'm done with Star Wars unless it comes on Amazon Prime or Netflix.

                                          Yeah, some people didn't like it. There was some parts that were questionable.

                                          It's a franchise. Sometimes they hit it, sometimes not so much. It's like James Bond. Skyfall was great, Spectre not as much. It still still good though.

                                              Yeah except James Bond films are not sequels in a trilogy.

                                              The #1 problem for The Last Jedi - besides Rian Johnson saying "GFY" to old time Star Wars fans - was he didn't follow through on anything from Episode 7. This was Episode 8 so the story should progress, not make no sense at all because you threw out all the setups from the previous film. Johnson admitted he didn't even read the script for The Force Awakens before writing this mess so wtf? LOL

                                                  I got it yesterday on 4K as i hate going to local theaters

                                                  I was not knocked out by this film, it was slow to start and the flying Leia was just too far fetched for my taste. Film (image) quality was first class

                                                      I still buy some blu rays cause I love owning movies.. Streaming is ok for everyday movies but not for good action movies. Nothing ruins a movie more than buffering. I'll pick up this blu ray next Mon when I go to town. Was going to order it from Amazon but it's out of stock.
