China isn't doing much to cool concerns about a trade war with the United States.
"China would fight to the end to defend its own legitimate interests with all necessary measures," China's embassy in Washington said in a statement late Thursday. "China is not afraid of and will not recoil from a trade war."

President Trump announced earlier that his administration would impose tariffs on $50 billion of Chinese exports to the United States to retaliate against Chinese theft of intellectual property, including software and patents. The administration will also restrict Chinese investment in the United States.

I welcome a trade war with China they've been fucking us for too long I've said this for the last two years it is one thing I agree with Trump on.

I do think Trump will fuck it up unfortunately, I hope he won't though. But I'm sure he will unfortunately.

Trump has no discipline and whining support in the Senate and has lost roughly 20 points of support with his base, enough to give him a loss in Republican gerrymandered Pennsylvania it's been read for a hundred years.

New Zealand a small country of 4 million took out a free trade agreement with China, sure a few businesses got burned but over all it has been a major win for New Zealand as the Kiwis.. don't buy Chinese stuff unless they have to, and because NZ focuses on "Pure and Natural" The Chinese can't get enough of our products.

to understand those facts you need to know the economic circle.

the patent infridgement is indeed a big problem with china but it will not be resolved by
tariffs. and even this tariffs would not stop china to export their stuff to USA. they do this game since centuries over third countries and the ones who help to do that are the buyers in the US. just because they NEED this cheap labour and products to compete in the international export market.

there is nearly not one US good exported what is not made with chinese imports.
just have a look at the stock market and watch stocks from BOEING, CATERPILLAR, GENERAL ELECTRICS etc... all this companies are existing from their exports.
nobody will buy a product what is more expensive because the steel is made in USA - because steel is steel.

in the next step all products made in USA will become more expensive also IN the USA - more expensive means that the inflation will rise. if inflation rises the interest rises. if interest increase the dollar will increase - if the dollar increase the US products will become even MORE expensive in the world.

china is acting clever and they stepped into the asian market after trump fucked it.
sure they will lose a big buyer but they where also buying a lot of US bonds.
if they stop to buy this bonds and buy it from poorer countries in asia and southamerica they will fire up their economies and they will have new buyers for their goods.

all US will lose is a bond investor, a HUGE buyer and a cheap deliverer - and what that means is not so complicated to guess.

all what trump is doing here is to try to fullfill a nonsense promise.

he promised to go against the trade deficit with canada - and found out that there is a trade plus after trudeau told him.

he wanted to go against the EU - the status quo is: the EU can still export but not more as 2017

now he have china on monitor because he thinks the west will help him.
but this will not happen because nobody in this world will share the bed with trump.

it is a shame that a country who is one of the inventors of global trading have to learn it´s own rules on such a hard way. but hopefully this lesson will last long.

i am still pretty sure that NOTHING will happen with china because the ones who pay him and give him orders will tell him to stop that and these are not the republicans or the ordinary US citizens.

well steel is not a product from another countrie - actually steel is a chinese invention.
following your logic nobody else than the chinese should be allowed to produce it because they have been the inventors.

but the biggest thinking error is to speak about THE US and THE CHINESE. these trades are not between countries - they are between companies.
by setting a higher tariff on imported products these companies are unable to compete in the world market.

you forget here that the USA is an export nation - the second biggest in the world.
exporting goods is always based on the price of a good because every exported good will become anyway more expensive because of transport costs.

if you want to sell apples you will try to plant as many of them on the smallest piece of land. but you can not blame the apple tree fro not buying apples from you.

it has a reason why the stocks are falling that dramatically as they did in the past weeks.
investors know that the consequences will hit the US economy hard.
and not ONLY the US economy will suffer. many other countries will suffer too what makes it hard to get out of this circle again.

don´t wait that chinese will go on the street when they suffer - they are used to suffer - but are americans used to it?

and why china? did you ever had a look on the trade deficit US have with vietnam ?
but nooooo - nobody will touch this topic again in USA.

research a bit about the trade deficit and with what countries it is the highest.
you will find out that the only countries with a low or no deficit are the ones what are buying weapons from US - and THERE is the problem of your economy because it is based on an export industry what kills people.

the next problem is oil and pharma.
they are "exporting" to a price what is 99% lower as this products are sold in the USA.
they sell it again to own companies offshore and THEY sell them on the regular market price.

HOW can a country can have a balanced trade when the profits are made from own daughter companies offshore.

but THIS FACTS nobody will tell you because this is the establishment and trump is a part of them - he will not blame the real guilties because he is a beneficiary of this fraud.

Other than in trade mark and patent infringement, which is not what Trump is complaining about, all the Chinese are doing is making goods cheaper than the west. Then consumers in the west are more than happy to lap up their daily dose of cheap goods.
