    "Stephen Hawking completed a theory outlining his prediction for the end of the world just two weeks before his death, it has emerged.

    The world-famous physicist, who died last Wednesday aged 76, was a co-author to a mathematical paper in which he sought to prove the so-called "multiverse" theory, according to a report by U.K. newspaper The Sunday Times. This theory imagines the existence of many separate universes other than our own.

    Hawking's final work — titled "A Smooth Exit From Eternal Inflation" — is being reviewed by a leading scientific journal. In it, he predicted how our universe would eventually fade to darkness as the stars run out of energy."

          i think that problem will not effect the next 100.000 generations.
          but what he have also predicted is the end of the world because of the ice melt and environment problems - and this is something we are facing already (at least 0,1% of the final effect).

                      I did not, sorry. I just know what Stephen was a materialist like me (ok, I'm like him to be honest). He didn't believe into God, fate and other shit. And course he knew there will be no end of the Universe... in the near 100 milliards of years.

                        but this was nothing new from him.
                        i think i heard from HIM the first time about the inflation of the universe 5 or 6 years ago and btw. he was not the first in that - the hypothesis is existing since the 80s.

                        btw all theories are ending in "the end of the universe" (at least the universe how we understand it)

                                      and i love this brilliance in his logic when he explained that "time" has started with the big bang and people who try to find a creator in the "before" are searching in something what did not exist.
