Fruit that taste like pulled pork??
  Jackfruit, the largest tree-borne fruit in the world, is apparently a tasty plant-based substitute for meat. It's becoming popular in the US and being used in tacos, “pulled pork” sandwiches, and other pork-based dishes.

I like jack fruit as a fruit. I did a lot of experimenting with it in Malaysia as a pork substitute. It works a little like tofu in that it will absorb whatever flavors you infuse it with but I couldn't get the right consistency.
Pork is pork. Except no substitutes. |
