There are always possible problems with people owning guns. Whether the owners are responsible or not. How are their kids? How will they be in the future? You're approaching the problem from the wrong angle.

The Second Amendment has already been changed. The word "Arms" is defined to not owning a certain level of "Arms". Restricting it more is popular among Americans, but the NRA lobbyist makes sure that will never happen.

If the tide turns and the gun restriction lobby gets more powerful than the NRA, you can kiss goodbye to your rights to own an assault weapon. Buy guns at a gun show, buy guns without a thorough background check, etc.
