Aarron why did you choose a .65 x ? Less distorted im assuming

Cause that is what the video man suggested for my use. This particular lens was also the widest he knew of that does not produce the ring you just mentioned.

Considering that the salesman is also a pro videographer and I have seen a lot of his work...I trusted his input.

I am happy. :)

Apples and Oranges.

Pretty fucking sweet though.

Nuff said.

3700 isn't that much higher, I got 4k cash in my wallet right now. Is the Panasonic a higher end camera or did you just mean they're basically the same?

It is a better camera. If you want to spend more then try comparing the Panasonic to the Canon XL1s then buy one of those.

First ask yourself what the camera is going to be used for. If it is for web stuff then the VX2000 is overkill enough. Why spend the extra dough?

Premium Photo has the Panasonic DVX100 for $2,899.00

http://www.premiumphoto.com/store/st...It em_ID=2530

I read a lot of reviews, vid cam message boards, online high end cam comparisons, and the professional consensus is this is the #1 camera right now.

because I can :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

I just want to make sure I'm happy later on, I'll probably go with the VX

I take this back...Don't buy the Canon...I say this for one reason and it is just a personal preferance.

I like a flip out LCD screen for shooting. The canon XL1s does not have this. They do sell an additional attachment screen but I have better things to attach to my cameras.

I can't argue with that.

No personal experience with that camera but by the specs and reviews of individuals, not companies, I would say it is worth looking into.

As long as we are waving our dicks in the air...So can I. I still chose the Sony.

Well...Time for me to go spend some time with a real person.

Take care.

That's a new thread altogether.

Hit me up with this one later.

Gotta go.

Dig,

Hey bro, I have 2 VX2000's and a TRV900 as a backup. I would say about 80% of the gonzo producers use the VX2000 which should be enough of a head's up for you. The other's are a scattering of 950's, PD150's, XL1, GL1 and GL2.

You don't really need much to get started. I have a Century Optics .55x Wide Angle Attachment (which doesn't zoom well) and the Sony .7 lens.

Other than that, buy a few more stock batteries NP-F750 or NP-F950 and you'll be just fine. It's the most versatile prosumer camera on the market.
