    Youtube is full of shit! Here are the facts.

    Do you think a million partners have similar stats?

    These video stats are from a video I uploaded just days after youtube announced new
    restrictions on who could be in the partner program.

    They say the policy is to stop the "bad actors"; but that's just bullshit.

    Back in April of 2017, we set a YPP eligibility requirement of 10,000 lifetime views. While that threshold provided more information to determine whether a channel followed our community guidelines and policies, it?s been clear over the last few months that we need a higher standard.
    Starting today we?re changing the eligibility requirement for monetization to 4,000 hours of watchtime within the past 12 months and 1,000 subscribers. We?ve arrived at these new thresholds after thorough analysis and conversations with creators like you. They will allow us to significantly improve our ability to identify creators who contribute positively to the community and help drive more ad revenue to them (and away from bad actors). These higher standards will also help us prevent potentially inappropriate videos from monetizing which can hurt revenue for everyone.

                              Yeah, that's a good idea because goo/youtube is becoming very unreliable.
                              They change policies too often and you never can trust what you are doing today will
                              be OK tomorrow.

                              It's a bad idea to bet one's business on what goo/tube will do next.

                                  While the old phrase "It's their playground they can set the rules" does apply I feel for any YTer who has had their balls cut off like this.

                                  Of course, one can view this move as incentive to YTers to make better videos that get more views. Maybe this will clean out the hordes of dweebs making hour-long videos about how bad The Last Jedi sucked in their bedrooms. Just sayin'.

                                      My first plan is to stop spending a lot of time making a video since quick stupid shit gets
                                      the most views.

                                      What about niche groups who only have 3000 subscribers?
                                      Consider a channel about coping with a very rare illness.
                                      Why cut them off of the little fundraising they have?

                                      And last but not least; were talking about a site that built itself on copyright infringement
                                      and all that shit is still on the site.

                                      They are spitting on the people who made all the legit content by pushing us down in the
                                      result while pushing stolen content to the top.
                                      So after steering the traffic away from us they then say we don't have enough traffic.

                                          channels under 1000 subscribers guilty?

                                          So now people are just going to get their friends to subscribe and the same shit will
                                          happen and only the scammers will make the cut.
