I get the point is to send surfers to fileshare sites but how can we prevent this from happening? And if not, what is the best way to monetize with our own content via these methods? I already put out tube versions and wouldn't mind seeding my own torrents of these versions.
I just hate seeing everyone's full clips and sites out there on forums like this.

The distribution of free content has its meaning. If your content is a good, people will come to you for updates. So that the watermark on the video is already very good thing. And perhaps that it is not necessary to prohibit the distribution of the content wiht watermark. For example, microsoft does not prohibit the distribution of pirate windows too much, because it spreads their ecosystem in the world.

On the contrary, support such threads, report about updates available only for money and switch customers to legal consumption by subscription.

You can not be 100% protected from stealing. Such technology does not exist at the moment, since everything that can be play on a computer can be copied.

So you need to lead this mess, fighting only with radical cases of theft of especially valuable content.

I'm not trying to be a thief or a gangster.
I am looking at ways to spread my own content that I've directed and produced.
Just wondering what has worked and what hasn't in the land of file share and torrents.
The sites don't respond to DMCAs so fuck it...might as post my own stuff instead of have others doing it.

Pirates are pirates, the folks that follow those sites are very unlikely to buy a video or membership from you, your better off keeping your stuff off those sites, even the tube versions. At best what you will do is to get someone that really likes your stuff, so much that he feels a need to buy a 1 month membership. He then downloads your entire site, and re-uploads it to the file lockers so everyone else can see your lovely videos

Agree 100 % but the thieves do not do it just for fun of it. They have multiple shares on multiple sites and get paid by clicks by basically doing nothing just watching the cash roll in. Even the good old pirate or thief had to work on their craft. These guys only do it once then they just sit on their asses and laugh at us. This is what I would do to them:

If everyone just policed their content, then all the tubes/pirate sites would have are the same old crappy videos, and the surfers would get tired of those pretty quickly

I see your shit all over the big tubes, those are as easy as pie to get taken down, why would you not spend the time need to get them taken down ?? I understand that some of the non-dmca responding sites can make you feel like it's a loosing battle, but submit a dmca to google and get their listing removed.
