Las Vegas

Hi.

I'm planning a trip to Las Vegas in July and since it will be our first visit to the States and LAs Vegas I was wondering what is the best place to book your accomodation online for LAs Vegas.

And if been to Vegas what would you recommend, where to stay what shows to see and so on.

I'm planning this trip to propose to my girlfriend so I want to plan it the best I can.

Thanks for any help.

I go to Vegas several times a year and will also be there in July. Everything depends on your budget and how much you will gamble, but you'd do ok going directly to the casino websites to book, such as http://www.treasureisland.com/ The more expensive ones would be http://www.bellagiolasvegas.com/ and http://www.venetian.com/ Cheaper ones are http://www.tropicanalv.com/ and http://www.imperialpalace.com/ If you gamble enough (at least avg $25/hand for 4 hours) you can get rooms and food comped. Tons of things to see in Las Vegas, but I would suggest:

Pirate Show at Treasure Island (free) - Will be taken down in Mid July though, hope you get to see it.
Big Shot ride at the top of the Stratosphere ($12 or so).
Blue Man Group at the Luxor ($55 or so)
La Femme at MGM Grand ($47 or so)
Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay (can't remember price). Pool here is the best on the strip too.
Freement Street Experience downtown (off the strip). Shows nightly on the hour (free). Maybe a $15 taxi ride.
Top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris (1/3 scale). $12 I think. Overlooks Bellagio and its Fountains, also a must see.

Basically every casino/hotel has something to draw visitors. Try to visit as many as possible. Enjoy.
