We had lots of rain, followed by snow at minus one degree. Plowing is great until you realize ice is underneath. Lost the power once today, snow drifts are two feet plus with fifteen inches on the ground.

We got the rare storm with flooding, rain, snow, cold, lightning and atmospheric abnormallies.

I?ve got my a/c on now. Too hot right now. 4 degrees out.

I don't envy temperatures colder than mine that's for sure. Hopefully, I have found a solution to my horses freezing water troughs.

I have finally saved enough cash to build a barn without financing! I can not FREEKING wait to have the barn of my dreams in March. Next year my horses will have no icicles hanging from their mane and forelock. They will never have frozen water again after this winter.

I work only to create this crazy animal place that I love so much.

We have been out of the deep freeze for a couple of days now. Still cold, but above zero.

Supposed to hit 60 mid week and then back to the cold.

Same in New England. Near 50 on Tuesday-Thursday but minus 9 last night. Two weeks ago it was 70. A friend went to Florida but it was warmer here. Most side streets here haven?t been plowed yet. Cows broke down a fence down the road and dozens got out but lots didn?t... snow was too deep. Cows on highways here ? two lane highways? usually have a stray cow sighting. All the city folks come to Horseneck Beach 🏖 in the summer but it?s comical to see their faces when they spot a cow on the beach. I remember staying in our summer house here and eating at a restaurant and hearing ?holy shit!? yelled in the room!

Cows on the beach while people barbecue steak on the grill.
