the race is from may 1st to may 10th
about 5000 miles and 10 tracks in that time. if you want your sticker on the car, its possible...but hurry up
i'll be in a 2004 mitsubishi evolution 8
270hp, 3200 pounds, awd & .98 on the skid pad
stock for stock, it'll hang with a z06 on the track. there will be a few 700-800 vipers racing though...doh!

maybe I could enter in that mazda 626 1990 with a touchy 4th gear, and a viscious 2nd gear :P

i'll admit the car looks like ass, but it is the ultimate grocery getter for the price(27k dealer invoice). with 1500 bucks, the car is running solid 12.6s in the 1/4 mile.ICQ #971-2561Comment

Z06 got GREAT handling, and has way more hp and torque.
so there is no way 270hp car that weight 3200lbs will hand with 405hp 3100lbs
ohhh and btw Z06 pulls .98 on a skidpad too, and you should know that skidpad numbers doesn't mean better handling.

tell road and track that. they tested the z06 and the evo8 at the same track 100% stock and the evo8 was less than 1/2 second behind the z06 in a 2 minute road course. if you can race someone for two minutes, and be just 1/2 second behind...thats hanging with them...at least to me.
as for personal experiences, i know at roebling road, z06s with national caliber drivers with shocks and hoosiers run 1:22s and we ran the car 100% stock with street tires at 1:26 flatICQ #971-2561Comment

16th place isnt too bad in a completely stock car minus the wheels. :D the seven litre c5 vette won first overall. its the first time a vette has won the event oddly enough.
