Sicario 2 - Soldado = Triler

Original was probably number one movie of that year to me.

The first one was heavy metal ...

The magic of the first one was the direction by Denis Villenueve...but the new guy has some good credits.

first one was allright. Nothing special, expected it to be a lot better / more memorable.

You seem to hate all that is good.

i know you only think in simplistic extremes, for example you regularly wish death on people who merely have a different opinion than you (talk about having real hatred), so it comes as no surprise you read 'it was allright' as 'I HATE IT!!!'

THis one is like a michael bay version of sicario. The first was great. It was the truth in the world of the 'drug war'. It was gritty and nasty and showed how it all really works and what sometimes has to happen when the balance is shifted to far from one cartel to another. We can't win the war so we just keep things in harmony that we can control. This is like a shoot em up show the american flag slowly michael bay movie. No possible way they could go to war with the cartels. I mean we COULD and we would destroy them in a matter of weeks but there is NO political will and it's illegal LOL. Watch Tom Clancy's clear and present danger or read the book where they send Clark and a special forces team into columbia and mexico to destroy the cartels. It's like they ripped that book and said 'let's just make it again, but grittier". Hollywood really has run out of ideas. Sicario and Traffic were the two best drug movies I've ever seen. Sucks they are going to mess one of them up.

You just don't seem to like anything. Let's hear what you consider to be good movie, Mr Critic.

I wasn't really into the first one either. Yes it was 'real' but it was ultimately just a fairly stock revenge plot.
