This Administration is a joke but not not a funny joke.

A day or so ago the Secretary of State announced that the U.S. would talk with North Korea with no strings attached/preconditions.

Today he did a 180 and said that North Korea would have to earn the right before the U.S. would sit down and talk with them.

One doesn't rule out the other. Situation could have happened over the course of that one day. They might have offered, and been told to fuck themselves or something.

I could be talking to my 5 year old yesterday evening telling him he can play on the xbox for a little while today, and in the morning he might be bad and I'll tell him he has to earn the right...

Why is North Korea even talking to the USA? They should just send a letter "fuck off for ever never contact us again"...

      As should all countries IMO...

why negotiate with racketeers who live on the other side of the world and won't leave anybody alone and are spying the fuck out of everybody and destabilizing everything left and right?

All invaded countries should just expell USIS officials and embassies and stop communication...what's USIS gonna do? Invade everybody?

One should not negotiate with people who use violence to promote political agendas...

        You are justifiably butt hurt.

I agree with a fair amount of your view points. But don't judge us until you see the end game we are playing at

there is no possible end game because the world will never listen to you...you are 5% of the worlds population and it is fundamentally wrong to presume that you have any right to tell others how to live...americans project themselves in an alternate reality where they pretend their invasions "do good" but in real life it only makes things worse:

          korea: ongoing global joke
vietnam: went right back to communism when the USA left
          avghanistan: LOL
          iraq: LOL
          middle east: LOL

IRL the military industrial complex made bank, USIS fighters got paid and the US citizen footed the bill...no good was done...no problem was solved...only a slippery slope of "if we had not invaded bonobo monkeys would have raped everybody" remains...

they can not do that because they are nearly fucked.

we both do not know how the situation would be now if they would have been treated like let´s say vietnam. not even cuba got that hard sanctions as NK got.

the western point of view is not respecting that this country wants to survive somehow and the kim family don´t want to lose power.
the western world is dealing with A LOT of countries what are in a similar situation.

in the NK issue there is still a lot of "american pride" what for some reason is not existing with vietnam.
the reason for that is that vietnam is not split in 2 countries while korea is.

the western world tried to use the same strategy what they have used i.e in germany but this will not work because of the mentality what you will find in all asian countries.
they are like ants and will just do what they got told and they are willing to die for their country and don´t ask if that is right or wrong.

in this political game what is played with NK there is a big double moral because all sanctions and actions against NK were justified with "human rights" while in other countries where there are benefits to be fetched, this right will not be discussed at all.

NK has no other option than to screw the violent spiral up until it is only to be or not to be on the table. they learned in the cold war that this last option always leads to a compromise. they are not that stupid that they don´t know what it means to push the button first - that´s why they never will do it.

the wrong point in that argument is the "WE".

and that is the dangerous part!

you will not want to tell me that this "we" has the same effect on every government and every president. it would be so then you would not need elections at all.

is "WE" the USA under kennedy, nixon, bush, clinton, obama or trump?
is "WE" the america under republicans or democrats ?

so IF there is such a big difference in that there can´t exist a "WE" because there is no
similarity in just those few names.

and THIS is for my opinion also the biggest problem of america because it has no identity. there is no "american race" there is no "american culture" there is no thousands of years old "american history". the "WE" is inside of a big mixed soup where you can find pepper, salt, sugar vinegar and many other ingredients.

a country with a long history and culture knows if they are sugar or salt while USA is changing that identity. with trump the poisoned mushroom of the soup is the "WE".

              think about it.

You could be correct but I doubt that you are as there are not any public reports of any change in behavior on the part of NK. I suspect that there is discordination within the Administration. Which has been reported on multiple occasions.

When I visited China a few years ago, I saw a people that were friendly, hard working and was surprised many times at what I saw. The whole time I was there, I only saw one person in uniform. This was a communist country? You can point to the government but not the people. Saying we did this or that is wrong, most people in the US would rather we didn't get involved in other countries. Most people in the US would rather not send out so much money to other countries. Most are upset we paid Iran all that money or sold yellow cake uranium to Russia. Its a work in progress.
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
                        think about that

North Korea has been planning since the truce to invade the South again so yes you are correct, but then again most military engagements do require plans and in the case of the U.S. we have on the shelve plans for virtually every scenario and they lay dormant for the most part until they are taken off the shelve, dusted off and updated as is done periodically.
