News Walmart Yanks T-Shirts That Suggest Lynching Journalists

Fucked up shirt if you ask me.

Following a complaint by a journalism advocacy organization, retail giant Walmart has pulled from its website a T-shirt that appears to encourage lynching journalists. The shirts read: “Rope. Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required.”

Walmart yanked the shirt within a day of receiving a complaint Wednesday from the Radio Television Digital News Association. The clothing was offered for sale by third-party vendor Teespring on the Walmart site.

The product “clearly violates our policy,” said a Walmart statement to CBS News. The company is now reviewing all products for sale on its site from Teespring. The shirts have also vanished from the Teespring site.

RTDNA noted in its emailed complaint that nearly three dozen journalists have been assaulted in the U.S. this year “merely for performing their Constitutionally-guaranteed duty to seek and report the truth.” Such messages “inflame the passions” of those who don’t like the media and, at worst, “openly encourage violence targeting journalists,” added the email, written by RTDNA’s executive director, Dan Shelley.

Isn't it great how our only outlets for the truth have been villainized by people who don't like hearing it?

I'd love me some news. Unfortunately I can usually only get opinions/"editorials".

So what you're saying is that the New York Times is wall to wall opinion.

I'll educate you on a simple concept. Reporting what happened is not opinion. Just because you don't like that news is bad for Donald Trump doesn't make it opinion.

not wall to wall, but a lot. And even 1% is too much for me.

Don't be naive. It is usually not just reporting, it is how it is reported, even what words are chosen to describe t and so on.

Secondly - when Donald does 5/100 level shit it gets reported as if it is some 50/100 level shit. When crooked does 50/100 level shit it is downplayed as 5/100 etc etc.

Crooked lined her own pockets using the power of her office, this is literally worse than 99% of the shit Donald did, but most of that 99% Donald shit was reported thousand times more. Just as an example.

Thirdly - Donald holding water bottle is not news worthy to any sane person. Any outlet pretty much discredits itself by publishing such "news".

I guess your opinion of the media is directly proportional to your warped sense of right and wrong. What do you consider 5 /100 shit? I'll bet your threshold for what you actually consider to be unethical is way up in the clouds. I just have a feeling.
