I left darkdollars to get out of the goth niche...I guess I was mainly in it because it's my preferred niche, but it became my albatross as that's all anyone ever thought about when thinking of me...so I moved on to bigger and better...goth converts quite well, but it's a very small, very finite niche....
you have to balance "should I cater to the hardcore goth crowd or the "mainstream fratboy who just saw The Craft and wants a wank at a Fairuza Balk wannabe?" Well, the "hardcore" goths don't seem to spend as much as the fratboys, but the one who do stay longer...

I just decided I'm no longer in the business to indulge in my own personal tastes, I'm here to make money....

then I can afford all the gothic hookers, strippers and adult performers I want........

I was trying to figure out who is going to pay to see this stuff.

Every "goth" I've known is always broke, and the "goths sex" girls are about as attractive as a paxil commercial.

Some of the glamour stuff black & white stuff is very nice - but selling a site membership based on that can't be easy.

If there was bloodsports added I could see a highpaying dedicated niche market - but thats a whole lotta legal trouble.

AHAHAHAhahahha i've only just read this thread.. i can't believe somone's whining about having their logo font ripped off when it's the fucking buffy the vampire slayer logo font. christ. there are only a couple of fonts and certain terminology out there that suit goth stuff.. if you don't expect the text and terminology to look the same within a highly specialised aesthetically predetermined niche go hack yourself in the face with a chisel till you wake up.
In a small niche with a definate style you're going to get heaps of repetition.
