Looks like the entire IWank/Alex-Z porn tube aggregator network has recently been banned from Google!

not the first time they get penalized... but banned? maybe first.
im not sure if its cause of black hat tactics, but one thing worries me- they were clearly a network of sites, but for traffic purposes. they didnt interlink them for seo. so if that's enough to take down a network nowadays, there are many more out there at risk...
or maybe it was just a thin content type of penalty... the sites were basically clones of each other. so if one got in trouble, the rest were guilty by association

Many of aggregator sites uses blackhat techniques to gain backlinks so that could be reason. There was one which managed to get into top 10 for keyword porn and been a while there till google sacked them. They were exploiting a security hole in one php script which allowed them to inject backlink into many websites.

Over the past year quite a few of these style big networks have been penalized by Google for various blackhat techniques but also because they just republish content from the top 5 tubes and offer nothing unique.
Google has been acting on that recently and will continue to.

Alex-Z is the network owner, AFAIK used to go by PerLover. Has owned several large networks since forever.

Perlover is a completely different guy than AlexZ. The only thing they have in common is the same name Alex.

Perhaps you could make a wider analysis? Last time when i was checking "who ranking for what" a lot aggregation tubes were ranking good along with regular tubes, but dont know what is current situation. But i still i think it's more about backlinks then unique content.

Yeah Perlover have a lot of TGP sites while AlexZ runs only aggregation sites i think.

Will do a wider analysis soon. I've previously covered some of the other aggregator networks being penalized on my blog

I'll be doing a post on the wider affect of this network being hit as a lot of tube sites were buying lots of traffic from this network, so this network being penalized affects more than just this network, but also the tubes buying traffic from it. Will be interesting to see which tubes suffer the most traffic loss.

Well, i did analysis, and as expected it is due bad backlink profile, as some scrapper tube still ranks pretty good on top keywords. Google was always more about backlink profile then site content.

Personally I think the sites using the iwank script took a manual action because of their redirects. They're god-damn aggressive. every third click takes you to some bullshit you didn't intend to go to.

Yep tubegalore is one of the sites which i was thinking, still ranks in top 20 on keyword "free porn".
Pornolaba according to alexa was destroyed in april , not sure do they get any google traffic anymore.
If you reffering to blind hits, dont think that affect anything. Classic tubes are far more annoying with constant popups yet they still rank good.
