I discovered this biz in roughly 2003 when I stumbled onto iFriends. GG's stats helped me understand what affiliate marketing was/is. I remember pouring over those pages trying to fill in the blanks -- trying to pick the best sponsors -- all while not knowing any of the other important variables. Traffic, sources, methods, etc.

Thus ends my self-indulgent nostalgia trip.

The only way stats like GG's could be meaningful today would be if somebody like PikaPoka would publish monthly or annual ratios and EPCs from TPD. Then everyone could plainly see how each sponsor performs compared to the others in that same category.

We may not know his traffic, but his methods are fairly obvious.

Of course, it's all a pipe dream.
There's really no reason for anyone to go to the trouble.
So I don't know why I'm even still typing this.
      Cool Avatar!

I remember those - They where not totally useless - The traffic all came from his site - It had some consistency across progs - Obviously there are so many variables - If a page had lots of Google traffic for example - A little bit of research on the site itself made them useable...
