Business Seeking Help : High Risk Merchant Account

I own/run TripleXBooks.com. It's an adult XXX paperbacks/comics/e-Books site. Part of my inventory is most certainly of the taboo genres (bestiality, incest, etc, etc) that Visa/MC/etc do not like. All legal to own/read/sell (these are FICTION STORIES), but their Morality Police division seems to be in crackdown mode. I cannot locate a new provider anywhere since my last one cut me off 3 months ago.

I've added e-Check & Bitcoin to the checkout process, but that has come nowhere near what I was previously earning... which wasn't making me rich even then. Also SEPA (European) and POLI (Australian) payment systems are in the pipeline. However, I don't hold out much hope that these will help much either.

SO, has anyone figured out a way to get CC processing for truly adult genre TABOO works of fiction? I've tried all the big names... Epoch, CCBill, etc. While I'm not on any TMF or MATCH list, I cannot find anyone to work with me. Perhaps my problem is that I'm honest and tell them exactly what I sell. I've been taking cards for 4 years with no problems, no issues, no complaints or chargebacks, and now I'm treated as scum of the earth.

If anyone has any insights, happy to hear it.

I think I've tried just about everything... even Verotel declined me. LOL. Still, not giving up. I'll probably give another search to EU High Risk Merchange... see if anything new crops up. Appreciate your assistance.

Unfotunately that is the times we live in. I would agree with NOT processing you if you had these as a videos then it would be a criminal offence, but a books are coverd by the first amendment, but nowdays everybody salivates over the 2nd ammendment but fuck the 1st one. Today even Vladimir Nabokov would be banned.

MY ADVICE :

I would check who processes some niche clips on taboo subjects on various sites like dolcett, deadskirts ,femfatalities and the like or even some real nasties like paingate and check with those processors...From your history you are not a high risk. Those are most folks who sell stolen content, kiddie porn,phoney dating services or bad gambling where there is a high risk of returns, complaints or even police involvement....

...and let us now if and when you succeed.

Eskaypay.com & Chronopay.com are great Russian merchant accounts to fall back on. Chronopay is technically Dutch but great for processing anything not illegal ;)

Thanks for the information. I'm in discussions with one processor, but I suspect they are not being truthful and trying to see if I slip through their bank approval cracks. If approved, I'll most likely be terminate again when some random audit happens. I'm looking at ChronoPay right now, looks interested, will probably shoot them a message. I'll update this message post if/when I find a good home.

This probably won't help too much, but if you have enough money to lay down and are at the end of the line, incorporate in Japan and get processing here. You're good to go content-wise aside from bestiality (and as you're not actually producing/selling actual content, but fictional stories (?) that may not be an issue either).

People hate on Japan all the time for censorship, but when it comes to adult content theme restrictions, it has the least worldwide.

Not quite at the end of my rope... definitely getting closer. I'll certainly keep your suggestion in mind. No idea how to incorporate in Japan though. You have any advice on who to contact concerning this?

Wow. Excuse me for not responding directly to you. I did say in a previous response that I'd update if/when I found a solution... that WAS in response to what you had stated. However, guess I did not say it directly enough. I have contacted a few places suggested in this post, I'm currently waiting to hear back. I had plans to do more research (based on your post) if I needed to. Apologies for not saying 'thanks' soon enough.

Thanks everyone for their input. I've emailed all places suggested, have not yet heard back from anyone though. Still keeping fingers crossed though.

Another inquiry... not sure if it's even legal, or perhaps a grey area. But what I was thinking of perhaps some sort of 4th party payment system. Buyer checks out out on my site and selects CC, gets redirected to my 'partner' site, buyer puts in CC info, 'Partner' runs/charges card, if approved... then buyer redirected back to my site, able to d/l items or I ship if hardcopy. Is this even possible? Maybe I'm dreaming. I know I'm certainly getting desperate.

If you heeded my adivice ( I went thru this twice) you would be processing now instead of whining about redirection....

If you emailed them (over the busy Thanksgiving weekend) and they did not get back to you, then either wait a bit longer OR call them up. Take the initiative if you feel the other side is taking too long to get back to you.

It may not be legal. 5 or 10 years ago I could have helped you for Japan but even now I think it would be hard if not possible to find takers.

I thank everyone for your suggestions/support. I'm continuing to research and send inquiries... to places you've all mentioned, and others I've found on my own. Right now I've still had no success. My current plan is to just open up a second site, 'clean' it of the taboo items and re-apply for credit cards there. So, barring some miracle, I'll have one 'dirty' site and one 'clean' one. Maybe the best I can hope for. However, who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and still get CC processing on my current. I'll update if/when that happens.
