That sounds like you try to justify a murder, seriously??

I am affraid of walking on the street now.. cause if there are more persons that would kill me just to feed his/her bastards (even though I have nothing to do with that) than we really live in a fucked up world. :Oh crap

Everyone has something that can make them kill.

First off, I don't see how not wanting to uspet him contradicts the fact that I love him.

Second, as starling said, thank you, - there are reasons and situations. Naturally, that'd be a last resort. Meaning I'd first sell both of my kidneys and deplete all other options. But it's a basic, intrinsic animal instinct to protect your young and ensure their survival, it goes far beyond any cultural or religious or moral beliefs. I could certainly kill to protect her from an attacker. Does that make me a bad person? I don't know. But messing with my child would not be a smart move.

Because if you love him and you are married, you would not want to sleep with another man in the first place. Simple logic. Instead.. you said you would not want to upset him. :1orglaugh Big difference IMO.

You said you would kill to feed your kids.. that sounded like you would kill an innocent person (who could have kids too btw) just to feed your kids (stealing his money or his food). I don't see any attacker mentioned in there...

To answer the question directly - I'd probably say no. The why is not really entirely moral values though. I think the reasoning divides equally between the fact I'm married and that would upset my husband and because I'd make an awful actress if I did get a "shot at stardom". I also have enough to support my family and basic needs are not an issue.

So if you were broke and waiting tables, asked your "unemployed" husband if it was OK, he says yes. You would go for it. :1orglaugh

I've waited tables and made very good money on tips, Paul. I've also worked 4 jobs, 2 of which full-time, while also getting an honors Masters degree. And am very much capable to take care of myself and mine. I'm also a certified barista and have spent my entire life working to make sure there is never a situation when I'm broke enough to have to cross any boundaries I don't want to cross. But in a hypothetical situation of no other choice and no other way - sure. Do you think anyone would let their child starve to death while worrying about dignity?

I don't think "want" was part of this discussion at all. I thought we were discussing sex as a bargain.

If you were faced with a choice between the life of your child and the life of someone else, what would be yours? Maybe this question will clarify my statement.

In any case, I think you are not trying to see the point I'm making but rather want to confront whatever I say, so I might as well thank you for the discussion and propose to conclude it.

I think neither of you, Paul or SpicyM, understands what I am talking about. Possibly the difference is cultural, I don't know what your backgrounds are.
I was born in a country that has, within the past 100 years or so, gone through two major hunger episodes and been the battleground of both world wars. I didn't find this out from history books - my grandparents remembered this and told stories that would make your hair curl. I hope events like that never happen to any of us, but they aren't entirely impossible... quite on the contrary.
No, this isn't about having a low income, or being dependant on the government. It isn't about getting a new IPhone. I am talking about survival, not "#FirstWorldProblems".
