              I think Carter can identify with Trump because they became president under similar circumstances -- in that they both are businessmen who were laughed at for jumping into the political arena. Except Jimmy Carter is actually a smart person and also wasn't a scummy crook who stiffed people and practiced business with shady characters.

                      I guess you guys didn't read the full story where he states specifically that both him and his wife voted for Sanders...

                      I think what he is trying to say is working with the current administration rather than against them would be more productive in order to get some positive things done in this time. I don't think anyone here would think that is a bad idea. However if the administration is going to continue to push on things that most of the people don't want then that isn't going to happen either.

                          OP specifically quoted that. And,m I think, that is a big part of the point - even Sanders voting libby is not as harsh on Trump as typical GFY anti trumpster. they just blindly hate. Or as an example bronco67 said that every decision Trump makes will be a bad one. I mean that is simply ridiculous and not truth, even beyond probable. But that just illustrates how much they irrationally hate Trump. I would respect logical trump hater.
