    The Business

Having read Lensman's comments on ICPT it got me to wonder about other large companies in this business. Off the top of my head I can think of the following publically listed companies involved in the adult industry.

    EXII.PK - Exotics.com, national escort directories.
ICPT - Intercept, owner of iBill.
NOOF - New Frontier, Sat channels and iGallery.
NWEB.PK - some adult web outfit from Florida.
    PLA - Playboy
PRVT - Private Media, Euro anal video delight.
RICK - Rick's Caberet and interent sites like naughtybids.com.
    SCOHE.OB - Scores strip clubs.
USEG.F - Beate Ushe, German adult toy manufacturor and shops.

I should probably mention three large but private companies: Flynt Publications, Vivid, and Wicked Pictures. Metro Global (MGMA) was a publically traded company until its listing fell apart due to its involvement with the Mafia.

Who are the other large players? I read in Lensman's comments of the Big Five. Who are those companies?

Would you want to see our industry as accepted as other fields?

What makes a large company in this industry? $5M, $10M, $20M in sales?

I think for most it's name recognition and reputation since most have no idea what a company actually makes.
