Payments still coming like clockwork for me...
Sad to hear though :( Those who know me for long enough know I have a special relationship with this company. |
I emailed this thread to Kelly at Penthouse and she replied saying that she would put someone from digital on the boards to straighten this out. That was Sept 26th.

2017-07-01 Pending $299.68 :Oh crap |
All,
I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Mike, and I am a new webmaster over at Penthouse. Since I have been in the business for about 20 years, some of you know me from a few years back because of my wife Sweet Georgia (Georgia Adair). I have also have been running a hosting company for years, so some of you may know me that way. As a new webmaster at Penthouse, I will be overseeing the Affiliate Program as part of my responsibilities, which prompted this quick note. Although I am still taking the time to get familiar with everything it should not take too long to get up to speed. Consequently, I thought I?d give you a chance to contact me directly in the interim. First order ? no surprise ? will be getting everyone current in their payouts and the new Penthouse operations team has been excellent thus far in heading down this path. So with that said, we are working over the next two weeks to get everyone paid up in full. We have begun the process of setting up a new Paxum account which will hopefully not delay those people as we wait on the system. This only serves as the beginning of what we have planned, but it marks perhaps the most important step, so thanks again for bearing with us (as it were). If you need anything at all, please feel free to get in contact with me. Sweet Mike [email protected] |
Hi Mike it's nice to see someone starting to sort a few things out.
Couple questions, 1- Why the need for a new Paxum account? What happen to the old one? 2- Can you tell us all why there was - and still is - a months long delay in paying people? (Something other than there was a change... The OP seems to indicate since July and "Freeones" - maybe others I only skimmed some of the posts) Penthouse is setup on NATs and as many people here already know from using NATs for their own sites getting payment details is not exactly rocket science. As it is almost the middle of the month. If new account at Paxum is not already live so that a wire can be sent to it to fund the outbound payments... What is the cut off date that you will be using to contact webmasters directly (email etc) to let then know that you do not have a Paxum account setup so that they can make other payment arrangements with you. |

Checks are going out, but we did the latest batch that was 30 days out. After we get things back on track, the checks will only be 2 weeks out like before. I know you may not think this is rocket science, but to some outside of our industry and even some in out industry it can be. NATS and MPA are pretty big programs. Someone new that isn't familiar with can be very over whelmed. I have been around a long time and have seen many many people that have experience and still not able to figure things out in NATS. :winkwink: Paxum should be set very soon. I will be sending out an intro email shortly and another as Paxum and Paypal is paid. Bare with us, we are getting there. :) |
Mike,
Glad you guys are sorting things out etc. I really don't mean to come off rude, but come on now it should never have got to this point. Payouts in NATs is not hard to understand, there is no code/scripting/smarty etc. It's not like setting up a custom join page etc. We are talking about going into the "Payments" area and grabbing "Stored Payments" report. (Honestly it's 2 clicks, and then 1 more click to mark as paid ) I do understand there is a lot to NATS, and maybe the section(tab) can be missed, but submitting a ticket is a quick solve to a simple yet intergral part of business. Like I said I'm not trying to be mean, and in that light I'm more than happy to help PH and you get back to where you need to be. Feel free to drop me a PM |
Ha. You make it sound so easy. :)
Being rude or not doesn't bother me. If I was owed money I may be rude as well. So no worries there. I really can not speak for anything that happened before I came aboard. But I can tell you, this is a pretty large company. People in accounting have no idea what NATS even is let alone know how to do an export. Plus, if someone has never worked with NATS they would have no idea what Open Payments vs Stored Payments are. Everything is getting on track though. I just did a recent, up to date export of payouts and this was sent to accounting. Payout 10-1-2017 Let me know if any other questions. |

Anyways my point was this all was avoidable. The past is the past the future is the future. People are now getting paid and problems getting solved time to turn the page. *cheers |
Please get back to me Mike!

I forgot, i had a blog on penthouse content, but those galleries never came back again, a complete waist of time. Such a big name and so poorly handled, Rhonda was the only reason we even sent traffic at all.

Sent an email from a gmail account to mike on Oct 17. Still have not heard back. |
anybody got an update from Mike in last two weeks?
|
All,
Sorry for the delay. I was on vacation and trying to get caught up with all emails. I was told by accounting that checks have been cut and are going out in the mail to get everyone up to date. Paxum has said the account should be all set this week so we expect payments to go out the same time. I have really no control over accounting. They had to enter in everyone by hand. Moving forward, it should all be an dump and import to make it easier. I can only apologize. I did get everyone's info on payments over to accounting. But I do not write the checks. I have talked with the President and she is making it top priority for accounting to get this done. Any questions, let me know. |
They made me a good offer to manage Aries Ackermans website.
Glad I saw this |

I think that affiliate programs who have a genuine delay would be better to communicate when a delay happens (again). Because as an affiliate I'm having to contact so many programs about missing these past 2 years, often it's 50-60% of the payments I'm expecting that are late and I know if I don't keep bugging them they won't pay (and yes this includes some of the biggest porn companies). So taking that into account, it would be wise for programs that are just having a temporary issue to let affiliates know about it, just like plane delays, people get annoyed when they don't know what's going on. |

I would suggest doing what Naughty America started doing: sending wires through Western Union, which seems to be super cheap and fast, even for international wires |
