Looking at a list of Cat 5 hurricanes. They've only been able to accurately record them since 1924. Mankind didn't have the ability to do it accurately before that.
So the talk of "historical" is kind of stupid.

Here is the page of Cat 5 storms. Including one that hit Florida in 1935 with: 185 MPH WINDS.

The gusts in all of these storms is probably far above 200 mph

The article was last updated on the 6th.. "Last Updated Sep 6, 2017 12:15 AM EDT" My post here was on the 5th. When I posted the link they had it worded 180mph sustained and 225mph gusts.
