Baddog is just an angry old man.. He fell off his motorcycle and broke his hip so hes more angry than usual. I used to mostly ignore him. Looking at a list of Cat 5 hurricanes. They've only been able to accurately record them since 1924. Mankind didn't have the ability to do it accurately before that.
So the talk of "historical" is kind of stupid.
Here is the page of Cat 5 storms. Including one that hit Florida in 1935 with: 185 MPH WINDS.
