My whole family is from that town (Putten) that this girl is talking about. I have family members that are killed by the hands of Germans like this and I can't feel any hate for them. They were sent into a war both sides (soldiers and people) didn't really want....
I'm not a nazi supporter, but I love this video because it shows another side than the story I was always told. I don't agree with that story, but I can understand why that's their story.

The history taught in the US is a bit off.... The schools in the US make it sound like the US saved the day with the landings in Normandy. This doesn't take into account that the war started five years earlier while the US did little in Europe while the Soviets fought the bulk of the war....

The Nuremberg defence. I was only following orders.
Fair enough in an act of war. e.g Soldiers ordered to invade a country after war has been declared.
However when war crimes and atrocities are being committed, and when there is a clear moral choice this defence is invalid. This principle is even enshrined in German military law where the soldier knows the order to be a criminal act such as shooting non-combatants without trial.
So the scumbags in the video that are justifying murder of civilians because it was an act of revenge, whilst excusing their own guilt because they were following orders; are not only morally and legally wrong, but very fucking lucky they live in a free society where they can spout such bullshit with impunity.
