Trusting a new program... Would you trust this program?

I've noticed that cj_purve is busy promoting this new program (swoit) yet I have it on good rumour that her existing program Purvebucks has not paid its affiliates for the month of March and the stats have shown zero sales for all affiliates for this entire month? Affiliates get nothing but the run around? Apparently the stats are broken and she doesn't know when they will be fixed. Would you trust someone that runs a program that way? I don't think I would.

Cheers,
Matt

Rumor? How about presenting a fact or a testimony? I am interested in knowing.

oh for fucks sake

don't you have anything better to do with your time than ride my ass?

the program has been closed since we lost our own processing solution

there's only a couple of people who feel they are getting the run around, almost all of the webmasters have been very supportive ... nothing worse than a bitter webmaster who tries trashing for revenge

my program has nothing to do as swoit so trash away fuckwad, if you search long enough you'll always find something to whinge about with every company.

difference is, we'll fix our problems and get back on track. i've been through worse and i'm sure will go through worse in the future, while you'll still be making tgp galleries and tossing off to the free content your sponsors give you.

get a life.

I'm known CJ for close to 5 years now and have never known her to not be a person of her word. She is one of the hardest working people I know in this business and one of the smartest.

She has taught me more about this business than anyone I know and has always been a true class act, something pussy webmasters spreading rumors will never know anything about.

There are very few people I would ever go to bat for in this business and CJ is one of them. She is one of the few people I trust 110% and would do business with ANY TIME.

She has more balls than 99% of the males on this or any other board.

it's not like CJ needs me to back her anyways...her track record more than speaks for itself...she has accomplished more than I or most on this board could ever dream of accomplishing....

cj, if you knew me you'd know that I don't pick things to say unless I feel a need to. I noticed there being some conflict with who the owner of Swoit is, and I have previously read from various sources there have been issues with your affiliate program. I am just curious. There's no need to get all defensive and call names. That's very immature, and not ballsy as SykkBoy stated..

Cheers,
Matt

I've also known CJ for about 5 years and as well as being an astute business woman, she's also a real stand up gal.

She graciously offered to help us launch Swoit, and has been invaluable with her assistance. She knows more about this industry than most of the people here, and her reputation is beyond reproach.

If you want to slag Swoit then take it up with me, but otherwise you are just demonstrating your ignorance by talking about CJ this way.

Wow. I just re-read your reply cj, and maybe you just forgot but I saw a post on Oprano stating..

"Swoit.com offers web surfers unlimited access to HUNDREDS of real live Internet adult paysites with just one subscription! And we're not talking about AVS sites or paysites you've never heard of before, we already have dozens of big name paysites participating, with niches like Bisexual, Shemales, Fetish, Anal, Plumpers and a featured women's section provided by Purve.com"

Nice touch with 'fuckwad' too.

Cheers,
Matt

I wasn't talking about you. I am not demonstrating any ignorance. Everything I have stated are from things I have read, and my responses to them. I'm sorry you don't understand my purpose here. I'm simply trying to figure out things.

purve is actually a paysite, with its members area plugged in just like other paysites.

purvebucks is an affiliate PROGRAM for webmasters who promote purve directly ...

like i said, my PROGRAM has nothing to do with swoit, and my paysites have no more to do with it than the other paysites in there.

i'm responsible for purvebucks payouts myself, my problem, not swoits. and thank god for this part, they are responsible for their own payouts, not me.

god i sound like a broken record.

Hmmm bit of a surprise to me too. Just catching up on this swoit thing. seems like its been done before or atleast tossed around by lots of webmasters. I know the "avs for paysites" model was talked about a year ago. its an different angle that I think people will just have to see if it looks like it would work for them.

I am one of the affiliates that feels she is getting the run around ;o) but I think cj will agree theres some big issues with purvebucks "hanging in the air right now".

Basically I am of the mindset that you want to affiliate with a program or you don't. When things stop working you move on. I have many places to move on to so thats where I am at. No one likes to pull out of a program that was working really well a few months back but this is how this business works... if your smart you use ssi

The post nysys made seems pretty factual to me. On to something different. I am hoping for a final payout to arrive for march... giving up on the missing stats for april and moving on to the next money maker.

Good luck cj with purve sites in swoit. I am sure alot of people will be watching how it goes.

so you thought you'd jump in and save the gfy folks from being screwed by the big bad program owner?!

no need to get defensive?! um .... defense follows attack

ask around, between us all we've paid out more money to affiliates than you will ever see. lots of them post here ... instead of wasting time trying to find as much controversy as possible, they are busy changing banners and building ads.

everybody who has been in this industry for more than a few months understands the cycle of ups and downs ... the longer you play this game the higher the highs and the lower the lows.

i'm looking forward to learning about all of your achievements and successes and failures ...

yes, i do associate my paysite with my affiliate program. but that was a good try and twisting words ...

you are trying to make a point with this thread that you can't trust swoit to pay you because of a purvebucks issue ...

in the way you are trying to place an affiliation, no there is not one. purvebucks/purve and swoit are completely separate financial entities. i am hoping that i will make some money by having purve inside swoit ... they will send me a check (hopefully really soon!!!)

anything else you'd like to try to make an issue out of?

What's new about swoit, I don't get it. They go out of their way to say they are NOT an avs. Well ok, different wrapping, same package. And giving access to bulk paysites is this new?..... What about stuff like the maxcash sites, nastydollars, fantasies and so on and so on. Just don't see the big deal about swoit, I'm sure it converts but it's certainly not bigger or better than any avs out there.

Yes the bulk packaging of paysites has been done by many big companies for ages, 1 members area 100s of frontends ...

this system has 1 single frontend, with access to multiple different paysites from different companies ... a surfer signs up and get variety a single company can't give with their central members areas.

for example, all of the general xxx sites have the same range of feeds and galleries, but no 2 members areas (from different companies) looks the same ...

it has lots in common with the avs system, but the approval process is much tighter and this is aimed at paying everyone involved ... not at providing an outlet to put up a few pics and some banners which is what avs does.

basically swoit members get the most amount of porn to view than any other paysite ...

nice...

but if I'm a paysite owner that has spent $500K on EXCLUSIVE content, why the FUCK should I share that with a thousand fucking newbs with shitty front ends and no goddamned content...

fuck swoit and their fucking bullshit scam.

ok, i'll go slower

no other paysites have access to your members section, JUST SWOIT.

Swoit has access to all of the paysites, only swoit members can access all of the paysites. You must enter the paysites through swoit ... those paysites still can generate their own members through their own frontends, and all those members get is the members area of the site they joined.

As an affiliate, you can promote swoit (the paysite frontend) to surfers who sign up and get access to all of the participating paysite members areas.

slow enough?

I *think* (correct me if I'm wrong, CJ) that you get paid for every minute that a Swoit surfer stays in your member's area viewing your exclusive content.
Or something like that.
So the better your member's area, the more you get people to stay in there and look around, the more potential money you make?
I think. I'm not sure, so don't quote me. I'm still trying to understand it myself.

so if you do have a members area where you've spent 500k (woah!) on exclusive content then you would benefit if you put it in swoit as it is an additional income stream to running your own paysite

Well then the main reason that this beats AVS (which everyone keeps asking about) is that AVS link list traffic just eats your bandwidth while you hope to make an upsell. With this, you get *paid* for the surfers that come in.
Sounds like a good deal to me. Just hope Visa thinks so too.

what do you think potential visa issues could be?

i can't see this being a negative for visa, but curious of what i haven't considered ...

Mainly I'm thinking about the "close look" that Visa is taking at AVS sites, because when they slammed their rules down, a lot of the sites they were targeting moved into premium AVS areas. An AVS is a network of sites, like this - so there is that similarity.
Although I do realize that each site will be checked for anything illegal, etc. Maybe an extra step could be to see if a paysite's owner is located in the Terminated Merchant File (not even sure if you could get access to that).

Probably as long as the checking and re-checking of the paysites is kept up, Visa *won't* have a problem (and as long as there aren't lots of chargebacks). I don't see many chargebacks (except for your usual fuckwads who always chargeback) since the Swoit tour doesn't give an exact number of sites they'll have access to (although I'm sure the affiliates will start saying "hundreds of paysites" etc).

And in the webmaster's info area it does mention that these will be real paysites (not just premium AVS sites) that also have their own accounts with IPSPs - so it make sense that if they're approved through those, they wouldn't be in the TMF.
(Thinking out loud here.)

As a possible partner, my questions are this:
1. Will the amount I'm paid cover the bandwidth that the Swoit users eat up?
2. Can I make a separate "landing page" for Swoit members that might not have all of the features that my normal member's area has? For example, if I currently connect member's areas with another paysite, I wouldn't want Swoit members going there and eating up that person's bandwidth and they wouldn't get paid for it, or for plugins that I have that don't allow this type of access - can I make a different member's area entrance page for Swoit members that won't have links to the plugins or the shared member's area from my "partner" paysite?
3. Will we be paid directly from Swoit, or from CCBill?
4. Will payouts be in USD or AUD?
5. How many current Swoit members are there? Projections of 100k recurring customers in 3 months is cool - but how many members are we looking at possibly serving right now? (This would allow us to make projections on bandwidth and costs and weigh that against what we might expect to make.)

As an affiliate, what's to keep a Swoit member from liking one particular paysite so much that he drops Swoit and goes directly to that paysite? What kind of offers are thrown at him on the cancel page?

Not criticising in any way, just considering it from different angles and thinking out loud.

(now I feel like I'm spamming)
Additional questions:
6. Will we be able to see how many minutes have been spent in our member's area at all times?
7. Will we be able to see what percentage of total minutes that equals out to? (IE: 360 minutes total at my site today, which is 1% of all total minutes spent within the Swoit system today)

Evidently I do, because I asked... and it seems that you do, since you keep checking the thread

Give it a chance, Amp - you might get a bunch of new design orders because of this ;)
Better yet, tell me your negative thoughts about it, because so far the only real drawback I'm seeing is the possibility of getting raped on bandwidth. You might have thought of an angle I haven't considered yet.

I have known CJ now for a few years and I must say she is very well respected in this industry. I gotta say that CJ is one of the smartest / brightest people that I know online. Some of my companies have done tons and tons of business with her and have never ever had 1 problem.

She is very geniune, mabey take 1 second out of your busy days and give her a moment of your time without the Nice insults.

We've looked a little into this with avs, we were kinda hoping we solved the issues visa had with our more closed door solution - let's hope visa agrees in the long term ;-)

If not, i think we are in a better position than most paysite owners to comply with whatever the new set of restrictions is ... we will probably have to look at a series of things like you mentioned over time ...

1. Will the amount I'm paid cover the bandwidth that the Swoit users eat up?

In theory ...
my concern is that people will spend more times in the sites with lots of text that are low bandwidth, and quickly browse through a movies section downloading 100 meg along the way in 5 minutes of surfing ... we haven't seen this happen yet, but i'm expecting there to be issues for some sites, yes.

Yes, I can so no reason why not ... as long as its an actual paysite standard members area and you can set up a copy with its own htaccess to post usernames to ...

3. Will we be paid directly from Swoit, or from CCBill?
Directly through swoit

Quote:
4. Will payouts be in USD or AUD?
LOL
usd ;-)
we don't work in any other currency

About 650 at last count ... a week of beta testing and 24 hours since launch so we are expecting that to grow pretty quick from now on.

As much as that would be nice for the paysite owner, we doubt it will happen often enough to be an issue ... most of the paysites in the system are more expensive on their own LOL
Also, its in swoits best interest for that not to happen so we earn money too ....

Our stats haven't gotten very detailed yet, but this is obviously going to be essential once the minutes start racking up ... the swoit guys like point 7 and are now planning that addition ;-)
