My point is that Antifa and the blacks came out in large numbers only after the Alt-Right had been dispersed by the cops. It wasn't a comment about black criminality, and I wasn't accusing black nationalists of being criminals.

Your point was very specific and clear. Black nationalists would lose "street cred" (indicating criminal gang reputation) by being present with law enforcement.

The white nationalists didn't ask the cops to turn up, and I think they now know that the cops aren't on their side.

You are correct. Humans are tribal as that is how we evolved into the huge parasitic species we have become on this planet. It is in our DNA to fight/hate groups that are different from our group. It is about survival not of the species but of your group to carry on your DNA.

These drives are still as much as work today as they were 2 million years ago. Easy behavior to understand if you have any grasp of human evolution and perfectly normal as well.
