I don't think so and it doesn't make any sense!

We simply need to know which states and or countries are now longer supported by Paxum.com

cosis 08-24-2017 09:23 AM

I sent in my application for Paxum Bank. Kind of a pain but I receive a lot of payments from Paxum so I don't have much of a choice.

Is this true? or is it just for Savings?

According to their TOS where we can read this:

"User must not be a resident of a country to which Paxum doesn't provide its services;"

that would mean that paxum.com doesn't provide services to USA resident anymore. I don't think Ruth will comment about this which is totally beyond understanding. I mean isn't it important???

You're just bitter because Paxum closed your account for scamming people Chris...

MediumPimpin 09-28-2017 08:01 AM

Just got this, lol

Paxum.com will no longer offer services to some of the clients; for them Paxum Bank is the alternative. Additional information is not available for the moment.

Best regards

elmy 09-28-2017 08:41 AM

Please email me - trying to get my Paxum Bank acct. completed

AndyA 10-03-2017 04:45 AM

what are the reasons they shut it down?

rowan 10-29-2017 07:18 PM

Just a bump to let people know that Paxum recently discontinued (without notice) EFT to several countries. If you're outside of the USA or EU then you'll need to use a wire ($50 charge) to transfer out funds to a bank account.

Here's the current list of supported countries and currencies:

Austria (AT) EUR
Belgium (BE) EUR
Bulgaria (BG) EUR
Cyprus (CY) EUR
Czech Republic (CZ) EUR
Denmark (DK) EUR
Estonia (EE) EUR
Finland (FI) EUR
France (FR) EUR
Germany (DE) EUR
Gibraltar (GI) EUR
Greece (GR) EUR
Hungary (HU) EUR
Iceland (IS) EUR
Ireland (IE) EUR
Italy (IT) EUR
Latvia (LV) EUR
Liechtenstein (LI) EUR
Lithuania (LT) EUR
Luxembourg (LU) EUR
Malta (MT) EUR
Monaco (MC) EUR
Netherlands (NL) EUR
Norway (NO) EUR
Poland (PL) EUR
Portugal (PT) EUR
Romania (RO) EUR
San Marino (SM) EUR
Slovakia (SK) EUR
Slovenia (SI) EUR
Spain (ES) EUR
Sweden (SE) EUR
Switzerland (CH) EUR
United Kingdom (GB) EUR
United States (US) USD

In order to do ETF or ACH you need to have central bank access -- you notice Canada (a low risk country) is missing also?

There should be world-wide ETF -- there will be sooner or later.

To be honest, I was half expecting my first Paxum withdrawal to come from a local agent who receives wires from Paxum, then does a bank transfer.

That sort of arrangement probably would have worked 10 or 15 years ago. These days that sort of activity would get your bank account flagged pretty quickly. I had my bank asking all sorts of nosy questions about the sources of deposits to my USD account. :321GFY

Paxum.com cannot offer some of those services to clients from certain jurisdictions, therefore those clients will need to be switched to Paxum Bank so they can enjoy the same features as other Paxum.com clients.

Paxum Bank and Paxum.com are fully integrated with each other. Clients will be able to instantly send and receive P2P payments (to other account-holders) between Paxum Bank and Paxum.com, and vice versa.

Wow, this sounds nice! Looking forward to hearing the news.
