It's not really cool to throw around threats like that. I live nomadically so it's a hardship for me to verify an address. Telling me if I can't do it in 2 weeks I could lose all my money (over 3k in trafficholder right now) is scary and not cool.

I get why they have to do it but I think they could be a lot more chill about it to the webmasters they depend on

Dont think it have anything with government, it's simply method which helps to combat with fraud. I know for atleast 3 other ad networks which require ID as well.

According to that master-x thread, they did it to be compliant with some EU anti-criminal law. But the way they did it, was shooting themself into leg, as normally when other companies do it, they dont threat with termination, they just suspend account till docs are submitted. Plus according to some people they dont pay even after ID was verified. Considering current available traffic is dropping by fast rate even if they dont close there wont be any traffic let to buy.

Yes but that doesn't mean how they will close, it simply mean how they will have very little traffic available to sell. Currently only trafficshop and royalads.net deals with skimmed traffic beside fpctraffic. Tho, i think most of ad networks will accept skimmed as popunder since it's not that different from popunder anyway.

true - and not only this. to run credit card payments (B2B) you havv to sign that you have KYC prove of all customers you are dealing with (and they are checking that from time to time)
paymnet providers also are asking for that because KYC is a part of the anti-moneyloundring rules.

I've questioned support a couple times and they say they're doing what they can to bring selling $$ back to normal. Right now they're completely killing themselves. They need to pay the sellers better than this for biz models to be sustainable. I never thought these verification's would have THIS much impact! I thought most account holders, especially larger ones would simply do the verification's.
