    Sydney alleged terror plot ‘one of our most sophisticated’

    "The two men charged over what police have described as “the most sophisticated’’ terrorist plot ever directed at Australia attempted to smuggle fully-functioning bomb aboard a passenger aircraft using military-grade explosives sent by a top Islamic State terrorist in Syria."

      'Three Musketeer' jihadis get life sentences for UK terror plot - BBC News

      Three would-be jihadists who dubbed themselves the Three Musketeers have been jailed for life for plotting an attack on a police or military target. Naweed Ali, 29, Khobaib Hussain, 25, both of Sparkhill, Birmingham, and Mohibur Rahman, 33, of Stoke-on-Trent, had planned a "mass casualty attack". Tahir Aziz, 38, also from Stoke, was given a life term for the same crime. Old Bailey judge Mr Justice Globe said the men were gripped by a "long-standing, radical, violent ideology".

      When police arrested the four men in August last year they found weapons including a meat cleaver and a partially constructed pipe bomb.

              It's only when something does actually go down and cause casualties that people claim something needs to be done.

              This story will just vanish as if we don't have a problem and move along.

              Until the next major one like in Manchester which we don't prevent. Then everyone plays the "things will need to change" card...

                                                  I agree, but a couple years ago some Muslim fellows bought an old truck yard about 1 mile from my 1st house. they began constructing bomb parts for use around there and to be shipped to various areas.

                                                  It is to the point where even my most pious friends who have always been way more tolerant than I am or other friends, are the ones saying some dastardly shit.

                                                  If there is another major attack anywhere i fear for the muslim population in general.
