McCain is utterly amazing when you look at his history. When I lived in Phoenix I voted for him every time.
He was involved in the 1967 USS Forrestal fire (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1967_USS_Forrestal_fire), was a POW in Vietnam, came home, married well, lived his life as a US Senator since 1987 or so.
