What's the deal with pay site back ends?

What's the deal with pay site back ends?

Now I have three front ends throwing members
to the same members area which is my own.

I'm doing more sites = front ends, should I use my
old good members area or try something else?
Members are happy, but I would like to get some variation.

What's the industry standard?
All front ends to the same content ( maybe catered a bit
different way for each site ) or ?

What's the affiliation for example between python / demurrel / pay site ? Could I get this way whole different members area for some of my sites?

When sending mailings to expired members and introducing new sites, some are not very pleased to find out that content is exactly same than the site they signed up previous time...

I think that someone else is also wondering the same thing. This post is the first time I have mentioned my wonderings to anyone.

What was the conclusion of your conversation? Same area or something different? Or does it matter?

This surprises you?

Someone quits your site, you email them, tell them about a "new site", they signup, find out it's the same exact content from the other site they just quit, and they get pissed.

You weren't expecting that?

Of course I was expecting it.

I'm just wondering how people deal with the situation. It doesn´t help very much to pack the content different way if it still remains basicly same.

However I want to use my lists - most people who sign up again are happy because of they see a lot of fresh content.

Anyway - that's not a big problem with 3 sites, but let's say 10 - sure I need to do something. Maybe split the whole fucking content pool and serve it niche by niche - not everything for every site.

Anyway, if I would like to have something completely different than my own area(s) - what I should do?

"When you join X, you also get access to these other great sites:"

Each of the sites relatively small in itself, but members also get the other sites.
