    So I started a roofing job yesterday....

    Tore off the old roof and waited for the shingles to arrive.
    They arrived too late yesterday to install them; so I put them on the roof until today.
    Went back today and thieves had climbed onto the roof and stole the shingles.

    My efforts to survive are like digging a big hole so I can fall in it and die.

      jesus christ. Don't give up, years ago i have known hard times as well, literally scraping cash together from in the couch, closets etc. Hellish times and i will never go back. Keep going on, keep thinking what you can do, and you'll get there. When you get there the reward of being comfortable is so huge, it's great. Never give up

                                                  What was it -- an abandoned or vacant house?
                                                  If people were in the house -- they would have heard it.
                                                  I hope the homeowner bought the materials -- then you are totally off the hook.
