And it's not that I think an actor's success is based on the size of the movies he does, but we can honestly say his career is on a bigtime downward trend.

Most actors who stick around for a long time maybe were huge once, but they find a niche they're good at and keep working steadily. I think a lot of his fade from the public eye was a conscious choice. I saw an interview with him after the last Transformers movie he was in and he seemed pretty unhappy. That said, I think his drinking and sobriety issues played a role in all of this. I have a feeling if he wanted to be in those big movies again he could be, but he chooses to do obscure art projects and smaller things by choice. Still, I think his career is far from over. The guy is talented, he just has some serious demons he needs to get under control.
