Where should we send our amateur traffic?

I'm managing an Amateur forum that has great organic traffic. They've never bought or sold advertising before. They have been relying on returning members and organic searches for all their traffic for more than a decade.

Now after 12+ years they finally want to monetize things better. They already get some money from paid memberships, but want to try to monetize the "lurker" traffic better.

This site sees about 50,000 unique visitors, serving over 1,000,00 page views a day.

As I said before, the traffic is sweet. It's all bookmark or organic and never been monetized before. They have advertised Chaturbate, but that's it. The owners are reluctant to make a hard sell or SPAM their visitors. I'm thinking of adding some 300x250 ads in some non-obtrusive areas of the site. Any suggestions?

So, where should we sell the traffic?
Any suggestions for trading for equal quality Amateur traffic?

Will using any of these ad servers hurt search ratings?
This is a serious issue since most of the traffic is organic and the site owners don't want to piss off the "search gods".

After only about 8 hours, ExoClick is beating Juicy Ads by more than a 2 to 1 ratio.

PlugRush is limping along in a distant 3rd place. Maybe this is a configuration issue because I have it set for both "traffic & revenue".

Instead of placing ads that are the same on tons of similar sites, better try some paysites that focus on amateur content or at least around that niche... i've seen FtvGirls do good with amateur traffic. Just my 2c

+1, WebClicks will be your best bet for that kind of sites since you can promote the paysites sites directly.

Be careful with using networks for this type of sites, they can have all sorts of shady advertisers (that you won't see because they target only specific GEOs and carriers etc).

If you do use a network ExoClick will always give the best results (which you already saw yourself)
