Take 5 pieces of blank paper, jerk off on them, and submit.

That strategy got me through UC Berkeley with a 3.7 gpa.

I swear I posted in this thread, but I don't see my post. Weird.

Do a google search and try to find David Chalmers' website.

well, if it's based on mordern philosophy, compare the rationalists (Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz) to the empiricists (Locke, Berkeley, Hume).

It helps if you know which are dualists and which aren't, but I really don't have time to get in to that now, I have to make galleries

This is what u do -- smoke some weed and go to the library and chill in the philosophy shelves... clear your mind and start pulling books that draw your attention... compact books with interesting titles are the best... usually you CAN judge a book by its cover -- if you know how to properly judge a cover -- notice everything about a book... the paper, the organization, layout, etc... Smart people build smart books. With practice you will be able to eliminate crappy books by instinct...

Problem is you will probably spend he rest of your life reading until you realize Philosophy is a waste of time, and you would be better off chillin on GFY for a few hours each day with an Amateur Pages banner in your sig -- then live the good life

I'm an MA in philosophy. You can't go wrong by writing on the mind-body problem. In other words, the body is a physical entity presumably subject to the laws of physics. Unless the mind is itself a physical epiphenomenon (in which case the idea of soul or spirit goes out the window), how in the world does a noncorporeal, nonphysical entity control a physical object like the human body? And if there is no such thing as a soul or mind, how can the physical body be held responsible for its actions?

Google will have TONS of stuff on this problem, but here's a good place to start: http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind-body_problem

Daniel Dennett's "Consciousness Explained" contains alot of good stuff about the dualism problem.
