I bitched to high hell with there managment, I was litterly screaming on the phone with him. It did no good.
I will never stay there nor step foot in that piece of shit hotel ever again. To think its listed as a 4 star hotel......what the fuck... I had an amazing time in Toronto, my friends who went with me stayed at this cheep place down the street, there room had High Speed Internet for free, a couch a kitchen a bedroom a nice bathroom. They paid like 60CAN a night...?????????!!!??!?!?!?! No roomservice but Pizza Pizza hit the spot when we where to drunk to head out... :321GFY FUCK THE DELTA!!!! :321GFY |
Hi,
I wasn't able to stay for the weekend and was just able to drive in Saturday. I liked the TGP and hosting seminars. I'm sure the next one will be better as I miss the old ones in Windsor, (Great Lakes Webmasters) |
Yeah Sleezy, it was good to meet you.
I would have to say thanks to spread4u as well, as they made the convention...the two bars on froday night, and then the after hour parties. you guys rock :thumbsup |

Another stupid thing at the Delta is these guys don't even think to put the show down as the Webmaster Summit or webmaster whatever. I spent half an hour at the concierge trying to figure out where the seminars were. I kept telling the guy it's the webmaster summit and he couldn't find anything. I ask if there's anything to do with webmaster, or internet, or world wide web, or online, or porn, etc.... nothing. Finally we figure out it's the seminar registered under CanAm Productions :helpme |
Morning all,
I'd like to start by saying this isn;t my offical after the show post, will do that laster today on a few more hours sleep first :) Thanks to everyone that came out, thanks to the sponsors, Python, Spread4U, orgasmcash, you guys all rock! Thanks to the seminar speakers. Now to cover over some of bad quickly, and yes like I said I'll write somethign better this afternoon, but wanted to let u all know that the issues are not being glossed over. On the same note, I do think the show went pretty well. Lots of people made alot of connectoins and that is IMO the main reasons for these events. So, first and foremost, the Delta, I'm not going to go into all the details, but most have been covered off here, we WILL NOT be using the Delta for this next year. By the time it was realzied how fucked up they where, it was too late, I worked hard, to fix problems with them as the arose, but it seemed that every problem I fixed, 2 more came up with them. The seminars, there where some, we'll call them scheduling issues, on this I'll make 2 quick points. I really want to thank the people that did speak, I think you guys did a great job, and I'll buy eat of your dinner and/ or a beer at the next show I see each of you at., and secondly I'll be persoanlly over seeing this part ofo the show next year, so there will be no fuck ups. While this is much longer then I planed on, casue I'm still pretty fuckin tired. I think all in all it was a good show. We had great people and great sponsors. Like anything in this business or any business, I'll take the next few weeks to over in detail what went right and wrong, and start the battle plan for next year. There will be many changes, most of you might not notice them other then that things will be alot smoother, but I can tell you that changes will be there, (makign my life easier) and our next Webmastersummit, will be even move over the top then this one! Thanks! Cyberpunk |

It took me about 10 minutes just to convince him to tell me where the seminar rooms were so I could look into it for myself!!! |

I had a good time.. Maybe a little bit too much fun :glugglug
Good seeing everybody.. Peace |
Post some names of the people that ran out on the Bar Tab
|
Okay...
My lil' rant about the concierge is out of the way. The Summit may have gone off a little differently than planned, and while none of us were kept in the fashion that we are ordinarily accustomed to by the Delta I think we all had a pretty good time. Thanks to Spread4u, OrgasmCash and Lovesexyy for the great parties. They really made the event an event. The Delta tried to suck the life out of us but it didn't work!!! I am so pleased to have met so many new faces. It is wonderful to be part of such an ever growing circle of friends. |
Morning/afternoon everybody.
Ok, I'm finally awake, after spending 6 hours on a train to get back home, with a hyperactive kid jumping and screaming in the seat behind me. Well I didn't have the same nightmares with the Delta that some of you had, I just didn't find the rooms that good for the price. I mean, when you find two blood stains in your room, it raises questions. But fuck it, I only use my room to sleep and shower in it anyways. Thanks to all the sponsors, you guys made a great night. Unfortunately I missed the friday night party which is the one I heard was amazing. Platinum team, you guys rock! Elissa and my mysterious long lost sister Caroline, you two are great to talk to, lot of fun. Ryan from Orgasm, great chatting with you man. As for the seminars, I wanted to know more about the bulk mailing and the legal stuff, which unfortunately were cancelled. Oh well, but the panel discussion was fairly good, great job to Lisa, Tina, Darren and Dwayne. You picked up the ball and took off with it. It was the most informative session for me since I really didn't know much about what to do with Gay traffic. All in all, I had fun, made some good contacts, friends, and hopefully some great business leads. |
The Hotel was in fact a complete nightmare .. but the one thing that arose form this show that made it real good .. were the People .. Most of the people that attended are some of the best people you'll ever meet in this industry .. very helpful and informative!
Sleasy I had no idea abou the water being shut off ! With all of the obsitcles that presented themselves I think the show did very well. And will be better organized with many more back up speakers next year .. so please don't dispair and don't beleive the hype. Just about everybody will tell ya they had a good time and met great people and that's what goin to a gathering is all about |
Just to add that the Delta Hotel in Toronto is NOT the same as the Delta Hotel in Montreal where the Cybernet Expo is going to be held in June
|
Dugmor, good point.
The Delta in Montreal is a proven establishment (Cybernetexpo was held there last year) and you won't see any similar problems there. Too bad about the glitches for the Toronto Summit. I am sure that next year will be better with all the lessons learned. People have to remember that these shows are NOT VEGAS. Not everything is open 24 hours a day, and the bartab is NOT ALWAYS OPEN. :1orglaugh I missed this show, but I will certainly attend next year. |

I certainly hope that you guys don't confuse the Delta at Toronto with the Delta Center-ville at Montreal.
Thank god, this is a repeat visit, so everyone there knows our group. Anyone here have any problems last year in Montreal? I sure didn't hear of any, and some of my pickest people were very happy with the suites. One of the biggest reasons we picked the hotel was because the privacy they gave us. We took all the Signature rooms so the signature Lounge was ours. We had a whole floor that was ours. The elevator didn't even stop there - so we had not problem with the general public. We were even assigned a person (who stuck to us like glue) to solve any problems that we had. Actually - the biggest problem we had was finding one lost banner!!!! 3 out of the 4 people we worked with last year is still there. So, I am looking forward to another worry free visite to the Delta Center-ville in Montreal. |

Now that is a royal fuck up on the part of the hotel. |

Despite the glitches it was a great show all-in-all. EXCELLENT for networking. And next year will be even better!

I will agree - the delta in montreal is a great hotel. the delta in toronto is a hole.
and for the record, the person who fucked everything up WAS NOT cyberpunk. He worked his ass off and without him there wouldn't have been ANYTHING. |

For a first show it had it's good and bad points. Sure the hotel was busting balls, the mini bar deal sucked, and them shutting down the party rooms was also shitty.
But, I had a good time, met some good people. I'd like to say thanks to everyone, Barry, Hungry, Hazel, Vid, the list goes on. Did a kick ass job in my book. So all in all it turned out good in my book, and i've heard many people say nothing but good about it. I'll deff be at the next one, and i'd advise any of my friends to go as well! |
