    George Bush's wars just keep on giving

    We've had troops in Afghanistan since 2001. It's now approaching a point in time that kids who can join the military will have seen this war as something that's gone on for their entire lives.

    Reagan started the endless war on drugs that has created militarized police depts, rather than focus on treatment it's more profitable to sell guns and armored cars..

    Now it seems Republicans have managed to keep a endless undeclared war going on for ever it seems.

    Obama did his best to shut it down, but now another Republican is in office and he's about to send another 3k troops to rachet it up again.

    Yet people say both parties are the same..
    In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

          The worst thing they ever did was take away the draft. With out the draft it's all volunteer army so politicians don't give a rats ass if they send these kids off to die in some useless war, because the public doesn't get outraged.

          With a draft, eventually the people get outraged when their sons come home in body bags and force the politicians to end the wars. With out a draft in place we can have a 17 year war that is not declared a war and most people have to be reminded it's still going on because it's not their problem..

              My kid doesn't remember a time without war and saw the planes hit the twin towers on TV before school in the 2nd grade. They just cut into the today show and BAM.

                  We had the draft during the Vietnam war and it lasted 16 years.
                  It would have lasted longer if we hadn't lost it when we did.

                  The rich and college students dodge the draft anyway.

                                  It was President Nixon that declared the war on drugs, not President Reagan.

                                  No President Obama did not do his best to shut down any conflict and infact broaden the conflict/conflicts. The dead line to withdraw from Iraq was established by President Bush and the Iraqi's and in that case President Obama just followed thru on the agreement. He actually escalated the Afghanistan conflict and engaged us in additional conflicts as well as killing thousands with the wide use of drones.

                                  You have a problem with the facts sometimes and you are smarter than that. It just harms your credibility and gives ammo to the trolls to go after you. I have a difficult understanding why you do it?

                                              You're a dumb fuck, Obama wound both wars down and brought the bulk of the troops home. Troops were no longer in active combat in either war at the end of Obama's term. The fighting was being done by Afghan forces with training from Americans. The same as in Iraq until maybe his last year when we started a seeing more support active role from Americans in Iraq/Syria. Now Trump is once again sending troops into the theater..

Before you post, try to actually get some facts in, I mean just a little bit? You're entire post is based on a total complete fabrication.

                                                                  Nixon declared a war on drugs but led in decriminalizing pot after a commissions recommendation on 1972, 11 states decriminalized pot between 1973 - 1977.

                                                                  Then Reagan was elected in 1981 and laid down the gauntlet. Drug incarcerations were @ 50k when Reagan took office and we're @ 400k when he left.

                                                                  So Nixon said war on drugs, but ended up decriminalizing pot, as did Carter, then Reagan came in and actually waged the war on drugs.

                                                                          No you are wrong, crocket is not right. I know FACTS have a difficult time finding you. Nixon on public nationwide address declared the war on drugs. With laws signed and put into place. Greater or less enforcement doesn't change when the war on drugs was officially started. Get it right. Reagan enforced it more, Obama less. Still the official in the books laws were originated by Nixon and passed by his congress. He started it. I could tell you the sky is blue but you'd respond, well no on a cloudy day it's grey. Or at night it's black. All true but you just won't actually admit when you're wrong.
